Awful lag in trials reported across all my guildmates

Trials in particular have been hit with horrific lag the past week or so... it's almost impossible to play at times. I had a healer drop my Vet Rockgrove yesterday complaining of the lag, I jumped onto heals and immediately after switching toons I got hit with the same terrible lag spikes.

Then had to replace several DPS for the same reason, only to have the incoming DPS all having the same issues.

This is awful for a game that is this old into it's cycle to still be hit with such a basic fundamental problem time after time...

Don't know if it's coincidence, but this all started when Vengeance/Gray Host were added in combination to the PVP options.

    Been like this for over a month for me. I'm sitting at 600 ping with massive spikes up to 1,500+++ and a ton of disconnects. It appears to have something to do with the implementation of Vengeance.

    I've never had PVP conflict with PVE before, but it surely cannot be a coincidence that it's so bad? And it's not like the game is super populated and busy anymore... at least it doesn't appear that way on PS5...

    Thanks for posting this. This also was my experience on PC-NA. The first week of Vengeance (alone) was nothing remarkable. PvP and PvE felt fine. The second week was quite bad in PvP and far worse in PvE. I got constant spikes over 2500ms ping in my Lucent Citadel prog. The game couldn't even tell which staff I had on my back bar and so mostly showed the generic ele blockade icon on my back bar (as if I had no staff equipped, but the ability was lit up) instead of the fire one.

    This past week the same thing, but worse: up to 3680ms spikes consistently for over an hour in the trial. I'm actually surprised it never disconnected me. But constant freezes, constant bar-swaps taking a second or more, constant catch-ups, this isn't viable for HMs/tris. Our MT also reported extreme desync and lag this past weekend.

    So many folks on the forums are pointing to Vengeance specifically, but in my case I guess that would mean the servers are so lagged out they took a week to realize the test had started last month and still haven't realized it ended? Or that something starting impacting players only in the middle of testing and has persisted despite the test being long concluded, which is an extremely concerning thought. I don't know if ZOS played with resource allocations or other things, are mitigating DDoS again, or what. It would be nice if they could acknowledge it if they are experiencing DDoS attacks again, like they said they were last year, or if they noticed something with the Cyro campaigns during and after testing, or anything else on their end. Knowing the cause would at least relieve some of the frustration, albeit not all.
