It's actually good that the rewards in december and january aren't top notch, or rewards we can't miss out on. This is the time players do other things than ESO, go on vacations, visit family, etc. There would be a major backlash if many players were to miss out on special rewards.

It's not just the tri-pots . A number of the items seem to have seen a noticable reduction in quantity. Enough so that it has to be intentional. The reason for it? <shrug>

[edit] Upon reflection.. the Attribute and Skill respec scrolls are 5x their normal rate. Almost as if they think we'll have a use for them sometime soon.

This is just...mystifying.

We all just got done reading end of year communication that said they understood and agreed that rewards need improvement this year.

And then, the first rewards of the year are the most low-key bland stuff I've ever seen from this feature.

This was a simple, easy, no-brainer opportunity to spice things up, even just a little bit, at no hard cost or significant time/resource investment.

It could have been as simple as "Our favorite Crown Crates from 2025" with a different (not currently on sale) 1x Crate on the 7th, 14th, 21st and 28th. Maybe go crazy and do 2 on the 28th. Or a different luxury furnishing from 2025 at the end of each week. It doesn't have to be a house or a DLC.

Yes, I know these are "free" rewards. And I know I can delete them (and I do). But it also feels like the first whiffed opportunity of 2026 when we're all crossing our fingers for 1/7.

The whole point of login rewards is to encourage logins. Encourage the chase of later-in-the-month shinies. This does not accomplish that. At all.

They're weak, but I'm still appreciative of the 8K Endeavors on the first day of last month.

That said, FIVE(?!) Tri-Pots is a cruel joke. Shame on you, Zos. That's just mean.

and coming up with decent ENTICING rewards does not have to take any extra time. years ago, we used to get crates most month. REAL crates. not just the ones that were guaranteed to give you one pet and 3 cards of junk. and it was usually 3 days of them either in the middle of the month all together or once a week. no one has to come up with some new pet or mount or costume or emote or anything and put it into the game. just put a crate in. and i guess the ppl who are totally against crates can just leave them unopened (although most of the ppl i know who are against them are against BUYING them, not opening free ones >.>)

Yes ofc, it's free stuff. We shouldnt complain.
But as a veteran player this is crap.

Not so long ago, around the 3rd week there was always some notable daily reward ("disguise" type or even better). But the quality of the daily reward of the 3rd week is more and more lousy, worse and worse every month I have the impression.
The daily reward of the 3rd week requires you to log in at least 20 days per month, is that still good motivation? Why don't we even have that anymore?

Joke's on ZOS, I have no crowns to spend on tri-pots.

8k seals wasn't exactly a "gift" though - it was a massively trash event on a trash year and people were coming out with pitchforks 😂

I already have so many stacks of Tri-Restoration Potions cluttering up my inventories that a few less additional ones is not a bad thing at all for me. /shrug

The think I don't understand is the sheer number of riding lessons/research scrolls we get, when those are things that have finite uses, while consumables like crown chicken and tripots are useful for all playstyles and levels of player are getting less and less.

I love having crown chicken for my alts, and tripots are infinitely useful since I'm a tank main and for anyone who touches PvP since every tripot is one less Columbine you need.
And yet the riding lessons and research? I already trained all of my characters up.

I've been saving all of the riding lessons and research scrolls for the past year or two now because I have a new character idea and I'm dying for ZOS to finally give me a new Class so I can make him. But I'm almost at the point that I'm gonna make a new character and then instantly finish all of the setup and then be ready to start stockpiling these again.


I get the desire to have things for newer players in the daily rewards, but why make so much that is exclusively targeted to new players and then continually reducing the number of things useful for people who have been around for years?
