This may be truly a misunderstanding on my part, and if so, I apologize. To me it looks like I am to choose from a list of things to provide. In this case, the list consists of one thing- my secret question/answer.

I can see how this could be "supply your question *or* answer" , but is ambiguous because for other things the list includes paypal transaction number, last 4 digits of credit card, etc.

I guess my suggestion would be to change how this is worded.

kthxbye

@Des, Nothing wrong with you. This is 100% the problem of ESO "Customer Service", such as it is.

    They want both.

I changed mine prior to telling them, just because without them/system telling me the question, I cant simply remember the answer.

Anyways, I concur no CS should be asking for secret questions/answers. The mere fact they logged in the site and put a ticket show they have at least acc login/pw and email access, so why keep pushing it?

They already know whats on your account, they just want verification that it is your account. They do not know your password as they don't need it to see your account. Customer Service has tools to see your account.

Hey there, everyone. We have closed this thread, as it's a duplicate of another thread.

Just to clarify, our Support Team will ask for account information to verify that you are the account holder prior to making any changes to an account -- this is for your protection. If you do not wish to provide this information over email, you are able to speak with our Support Team via phone. Thank you for your understanding.
