[Ideas] Game Enhancement Suggestions

I had a few ideas for enhanced gameplay that I've been mulling over in my head for a while, I wanted to put them on paper so to speak.

1) Implement some sort of option to NOT let your character match your account CP level, specified at creation or something. This will enable players to play from scratch new with friends, no implementation of any CP when you hit 50, you just "do the grind" again. I think it adds to replayability and enabling new friends to play more.
My wife did say that just don't have to apply CP on your tree, but it just doesn't feel the same going from level 50 to level 2000+ with your friend who is now CP10

2) A couple of QOL items(paywall option for ZOS):
- Lore Shelf home furnishing. You can store recipes, XP scrolls, blueprints, mount additions, scripts, motifs, etc. This is more of a bank cleanup option but it allows for hoarding and the players love hoarding. I realize there may be some sort of item limitation with this, but similar concept as the Furnishing Cabinet.

- Refrigerator (or lore friendly storage container) for all your food items that you craft per toon, etc. I noticed in my bank I had a ton of food made over the span of my entire career. Not sure how, but thought it would be a nice QOL to have it all stored in a single spot. Plus it gives a customizable feeling.

- If you like those, alchemy cabinet for all the different potions. Yes I know we have a bank, mine is full of armor I can't afford to reconstruct later :)

3) Allow for us to specify color we want an item from creation from scratch. I don't want to make an item and improve it 3 times, I want to make a gold item :)

I'm sure there's more but just throwing it out there. Have a Merry Christmas!

I agree with #3 for sure. This would be fantastic!

There's such a long list of QOL options that are continually brought up. I'm really hoping that with the new leadership team, and the upcoming seasonal structure, that we'll see significant amounts of these QOL suggestions get implemented.

    1) I like this idea. I wonder if something like this is being considered for the overland difficulty changes they are working on.

    2) I don't like this idea because hoarding needs to be discouraged rather than encouraged. All these items hurt server performance.

    3) I like this idea but not sure if it would work. If a player has less mats than those needed for the guaranteed upgrade chance would they lose all the different mats used for all the tiers if the upgrade fails? And what if we only want to upgrade to purple or lower? Sometimes I only upgrade to green if it's to complete an endeavor.

That's a fair point to server performance. I'd preface #2 with "If this would not negatively impact server performance, then". The degree of QOL enhancement is not worth the overall performance sacrifice.

I think to your questions on 3, "it depends". Maybe it's all chance based, or maybe it's not an option if it's not guaranteed 100% and that's the tradeoff... to go from white to gold, 100% success chance is implied and it's not possible if on-hand materials doesn't support it.

These are definitely some interesting ideas and I hope they consider them.

They should remove chance from item improvement, it is not Korean full donate p2w MMO there you spend tons of mats for random improvement, so this system is not actual. Never used it myself, nor as far as I know people I am playing with also never used it. It is interesting enough to see if other people use it tho.

P.S. I would recommend you try this add: https://www.esoui.com/downloads/info1697-DolgubonsLazySetCrafter.html - you can select everything you want, including improvement, queue it and then craft everything in the queue automatically. It also calculates mats needed for crafting. It is equilibrium between modders and developers: devs create beautiful UI and modders - practical.

To go along with this, when i'm creating an item or improving an item, i'd rather it just let me instantly make it in gold and consume all of the mats rather than this step-wise thing they make you do going from white > green > blue > purple > gold. Very irritating when making several sets for alts.

Well, addon will make it for you, if you are not against of addons in general. Looks like devs have more important things to do, I would estimate chances for this to be changed close to 0%. So, if you are frustrated from doing repeatable things - find an addon for it, it most likely exists.
