ESO via Epic Games connection error

Anyone else having trouble accessing ESO via Epic Games today? I've been getting a message along the lines of 'unable to initialize connection'. I saw that Epic was having some issues earlier and game authentication was one of them. It has supposedly been resolved by now. I've signed out of Epic and rebooted. Still get the error. Not sure what else I can do but wait. Thankfully, I already got the fragments for the house. I was just hoping to finish off the new style pages.

I had no issues with accessing my other account via Steam.

EDIT: Like usual, make a complaint or comment about how something is not working and then it starts working. I'm in the game via Epic as I type this.

    - "communication with epic could not be established"
    - "incorrect token 2."
    - the launcher does not start.
    My son couldn't login in for about 2 hours. Then it happened.
    Now I'm loading my several EGS accounts. But I can't log in through EGS.

    I also can't connect via Epic Games. Did you do anything to get this to work? I have a steam version and a freestanding version and both those accounts worked fine today.

    Update: I did nothing and it's now magically working. Possibly it was something on Epic's side then.

    Mine worked for a while until it didn't. Great when it does work but just like my Nvidia account I get errors all the time and no real understanding provided as to what the actual problem is.

    Epic had had an outage with their Epic Online Services among other things which includes game authentication. Thus, when we were trying to log in to our Epic versions, ESO was unable to authenticate our game with Epic. Once fixed, we were able to log in. I was even forced to re-log into Epic after the fix, possibly to ensure proper authentication under new conditions.
