    For ESO time via Steam?
    2022 was 99%
    2023 was 96%
    2024 was 93%
    2025 is 87%
    z39apbppq430.jpg

The big drop was from playing Doom 2 and then also Audiosurf 2, as well as Guild Wars 2 very recently this month.

    2024 94% ESO
    2023 100% ESO
2022 is kind of funny. Even though Steam says I played 6 different games, it also says that 100% of my play time was ESO.

81% The Elder Scrolls Online (812 sessions)
8% The Elder Scrolls III: Morrowind Game of the Year Edition (213 sessions)
5% The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion Game of the Year Edition (144 sessions)
3% Forgotten Realms: The Archives - Collection Two (103 sessions)
2% Atari 50: The Anniversary Celebration (116 sessions)

Not counted, because they're non-Steam games, although I added them to Steam and play them from Steam:

    The Elder Scrolls: Arena
The Elder Scrolls: Chapter II - Daggerfall
Wizardry: Proving Grounds of the Mad Overlord

Installed and played from GOG Galaxy:

    Gothic
    Gothic II Gold Edition
    Might and Magic Book One

I have many more games in my Steam, GOG, Epic, and Amazon Gaming libraries, but those are the ones I've played the most this year. If Steam were keeping track of Arena and Daggerfall, it would undoubtedly show that I've been playing them more than Morrowind and Oblivion.

Mine doesn't have ESO on it because I don't play it through Steam.

I played a lot of ESO this year because my graphics card was dying. It overheated and shut down with anything that taxed it too much. That meant no new AAA releases, except for Avowed, which miraculously worked (and was my favourite release in 2025 - really enjoyed it). ESO also still worked because it's an older game at this point.

Given that, my top games were:

Slay the Spire (26%) - had played it when it came out and had a great time revisiting it.
Avowed (10%) - a great RPG that I'll definitely replay. Gave me the old BioWare vibes.
Ruined King: A League of Legends (7%) - another decent RPG that my machine was able to handle.
The Walking Dead: The Telltale Definitive Series (6%) - another game I'd played that my PC could handle.
The Thaumaturge (5%) - Another decent RPG.
Lots of cozy games - I usually have one of those on the go.

Plus a few older games at GOG.

I bought a new machine a few weeks ago during the Black Friday sales. Now that I can play everything on ultra settings, I've been playing a lot less ESO. I'll say that ESO looks better as well, now that I'm playing with higher graphics settings.

(I'm currently spending most of my gaming time in Oblivion Remastered.)

@AzuraFan I loved Avowed. It was the right kind of RPG for me at the time. Looking to also replay sometime next year after all the updates are out.

@ZOS_Kevin I'm really looking forward to replaying it on higher graphics settings. To prevent my old graphics card from freaking out, I had to play on pretty low settings. The game still looked decent, so on higher settings it should look great. I don't know why it didn't get more buzz.

And I meant what I said about ESO looking so much better for me now. I'd see some ESO screenshots from others and wish my game looked like that. Now it does, and it can be quite amazing and stunning to ride around and take it all in. I love that I can see things like wayshrines from quite far away. They don't suddenly pop up like they used to. :)

As I do not play ESO through Steam it is hard to put a % on the game. I would say, without a measure, that ESO was my most played game.
    Then Anno 1800.
    Within Steam
    Transport Fever 2
    X3: Albion Prelude
    Cities: Skylines

My "goto" game for many years has been ESO and will probably remain that way when I have time to play (mussel memory).

I don't play ESO through Steam (well, many games actually - if I play Morrowind or Oblivion I also just still use the old discs).

Most-played game on Steam this year (only with about 55% though) for me is TES Legends. And that's only from January 1 until January 30 when the servers were shut down for good.
