I got one bone shard today from a siege camp daily on PC NA. But I had picked it up during the event. Not sure if that makes a difference.

Can someone confirm whether or not the Bone Shards are still dropping from the one remaining daily and/or the Siege Camp final boss coffer? I want to know whether I'm wasting my time - done 3-4 coffers, and 2 dailies, and nothing.

Would like to know too. Was hoping and under the impression all dailies would stay but I guess not and would like to finish collecting bone shards :(, style motiffs and style mat

I just did the one daily that's left, it was the first time today (and apparently only time because it doesn't repeat any longer) and I got a glorious gold box and a writhing bone shard was in it

    Hello,

Could someone please let me know if when the Writhing Wall comes back in 2026 if the bone shards will continue to drop? People out there scalping them and they were quite difficult to find, so I'm hoping they'll continue to drop later on or maybe still drop through the Solstice dailies.

    Thanks!

Personally, I enjoyed the Writhing wall event. Some parts of it felt frustratingly long, like when the final boss had very many lightning phases and many people were just standing at the sieges waiting for others to kill them, and the harvester boss when it got shields very often and took forever to kill. And I hated that my ballista parts barrel disappeared just when I got to it on the final boss - it happened too many times . :( In general I liked the concept though - especially that you could pick which side you wanted to do and it was actually a choice that mattered, as they had different mechs - and sometimes you had time to do both. I liked the fact that it required lots of people to do, but also had lots of people doing it because it was available for a limited time. Lots of older more challenging content doesn't have a lot of players generally, like the Harrowstorms. I would enjoy having something similar in the future, just with a little less horrible grind, like drop a shield phase or two from the harvester and main boss. It's fine to have some of them though, as it teaches mechs to newer players. I also liked the siege mechanic in general, because it's possible to do regardless of character level and regardless of player experience, as long as you just figure out what you need to do.Maybe it also encourages people to learn how to siege in cyro too. :D

I can also say this: A friend of mine has played the game longer than I have and he tends to complain about pretty much everything. However, he loved this event. He's been wishing for harder overland content for a while and felt that this was the kind of content he'd like to see more of - true MMO content. He didn't even complain about the grind and preferred to go left side always because it actually "required doing stuff", not just killing everything. He also loved the Nymics when they came. So... there's definitely call for this kind of content, too.

Also - bugs happen. It's frustrating, but sometimes it can't be helped. What can be helped is the response to this. i have heard more than one person commenting on the situation and that they appreciate the message - the honesty and the taking of responsibility instead of just making excuses (implying that there have been many excuses in the past). I agree. There is nothing wrong with saying that we [snip] up, will try to fix it and here's a little compensation and we'll try to do better next time. Everyone makes mistakes. Just own it and move on and try to do better next time.

In general, I felt that this was a successful event. Yes, there were bugs. Yes, there were annoyances. Yes, some parts felt too long. Still... it was a fun event. It was different, not just the same stuff warmed for the Nth time. It was exciting. It required lots of people working together and got lots of people working together, and was the kind of content where people could do it together even if someone [snip] up because they didn't know what they were doing, unlike e.g. Witches Jack where the whole thing tends to turn into a big f-fest if someone doesn't know what they're doing and makes it stampede all around. This was forgiving of mistakes, which I felt was especially good because it made possible to include new players without any resentment for when they eventually [snip] up, as it didn't result in a reset. It also motivated people to participate since it dropped event loot from the boss chests and also possibly new furnishings. (I am no longer sure if I got them there or from the new public dungeon.) I also liked that it had unforgiving mechs like the floor is lava thing, as many older players tend to get lazy with mechs because they are used to burning through stuff, but here you couldn't ignore the mechs. (Personally, I like mechs, if they are nice mechs, and not super annoying ones.) I also liked that you could choose to either beam the lightning dudes from the platforms or to go down to hit them from down below, which meant killing them faster but also required a shield. I liked that there were multiple ways to do things and you could pick what you wanted to do. Like, if you got tired of sieging you could go kill stuff and if you got tired of fighting you could go siege. I like having options instead of there being just one correct way to do things. So, for me personally, this was a successful event.

I'm really glad you and your partner enjoyed it! 😁

Not to nitpick here though, but it sounds like you enjoyed the Fortress part of the event though (the last week of an extremely long, disappointing event that a few couldn't even finish due to the issues.

I saw the fortress on pts and it did look fire!
What I personally think caused the outage for a lot of people was that every phase of this event was bugged in some way. The first parts were long and tedious with no real feel of reward. If it weren't for the pursuit, I (and a lot of others) wouldn't have bothered.

The new zone is also apparently littered with bugs and issues which is sad for the years big paid content.

I'm glad for the 8k seals I'm getting for free, but it also doesn't feel right that the players that payed for the content don't get anything extra.

I kinda like the Siege camps now that no-ones doing them. You can't solo them (sometimes maybe, if you have a week!), and even with 2-3 people they are a challenge!

While the initial WF bug was frustrating, the fixes were enough that I could complete it on both pcna and eu.

I'm very glad the WF will be brought back next year because I had a blast with it!!
