Will Support the Fellowship disappear on characters that don't complete it?

If we don't do the Writhing Fortress on all of our characters to complete the Support the Fellowship quest, will this quest disappear from our log when the event is over? I've completed it on 2 of my 7 characters but not sure I want to do it 5 more times.

    Best case: Yes
Worst case: You'd have to manually abandon as it will be uncompelteable

Never get involved in a land war in Asia - it's one of the classic blunders!

Well I may try to do rest of my characters because I don't like leaving things incomplete. But it's taken 45 minute to run it and that much non-stop combat tires me out. If it just disappeared from my quest log I wouldn't feel like I abandoned it.

Friends of mine had issues with bugs and got bored of it breaking. They just ported into the Fortress and then went to do housework, came back a bit later to see if it was bugged (was). Repeated that until they found a non-bugged instance and it completed.

i.e. you only have to be inside the Fortress to get credit.

I didn't encounter any bugs the 2 times I've run it so far. But I thought we had to interact with an item at the end to complete it.

Would have to ask them and they are all weak and have gone to bed. But even so, as long as you don't logout you will stay in the instance and can come back an hour later and just run through the middle to pull the core. No fighting involved.

I wouldn't feel right doing that.
