Is there an end date for the Writhing Wall Event? The Golden Pursuit has 17 days left. Is this when we are expected to have the wall down? Or could this continue for weeks more?

I agree. I was just hoping that there is a set end date and that this won't continue much longer.

The longer this goes on, the more frustration I feel. I have absolutely zero desire to do a single one of these quests ever again. I just can't bring myself to do it.

I wish they would take note of the almost exclusive negative feedback and do something... anything... to make this end.

There is a positive side that the quests are fast to do. This way I have been able to level up subclasses that I do not normally use in any content. The wall progresss is just very slow and there is not much new and becomes a repetitive grind.

Current Golden Pursuit has tasks to do in last Phase, so i am guessing Golden Pursuit's end date, will be the end date of the event in worst case scenario.

It would be wise at least, to react to the criticism in any way. No reaction makes it look like what the customers want doesn't matter. Which certainly doesn't help selling the 2026 content.

Phase 2 can't end until consoles get Update 48 (on the 12th) because otherwise they wouldn't be able to get Phase 3. Phase 3 will last for 7 days after it starts, so the earliest the event could end is the 19th.

I suspect ZOS wouldn't want Phase 2 to end immediately after the update, both because that would look too convenient, and because they'll want some time to fix issues with the base game update before they need to focus on issues with the event, especially since 7 days doesn't give them much time to fix it.

Technically it runs for 7 days from when the Writing Fortress is first completed, but from what people on the PTS said that's simple enough that the only delay will be loading in and moving through it, so the first clear is expected to be within an hour of Phase 3 starting, unless there's a truly game-breaking bug - one which makes it impossible to complete.

My guess is Phase 2 is scheduled for around 2.5 weeks, same as Phase 1, which will bring us up to the 19th, then Phase 3 will run until the 26th, or 27th depending on your time zone, so it'll end shortly before the Golden Pursuit does. (Maybe they'll add another day so the Golden Pursuit ends first, to ensure people who are just relying on that timer don't get caught out.)

And yes, hypothetically the event is totally 100% based on player participation and so if that drops too much one or more servers could end up falling behind and the event could drag on much longer for them (there is no way for it to fail, only slow/stall) but whether you believe that or not the progress bars indicate we're going to finish it shortly before Update 48 for consoles, and could actually have finished sooner if ZOS didn't manually adjust progress during Phase 1.

The Roadmap says the end of the event "TBD".

    The blog states
"Unlike the other phases, which last a variable length of time depending on player successes and mobilization, the third phase lasts one week from when the Writhing Fortress is first completed on a given server, bringing the event to a close after that period. "
    (emphasis mine)

Of course, there's also this: "Daedric War Celebration (November 20-December 2)".

So we'll have dual events going again. See you in Vvardenfell!

It doesn't matter at all. The content for the second part of Solstice has already been uploaded to the live servers. So, the wall-breaking could take at least another year until we farm for it or until the ZOS get tired of laughing at us and start showing at least a little respect for their players.

Honestly it is just 1 boring grind after another.
Phase 1 was a grind,Phase 2 by the looks of things people are starting to drop and not even bothering to do the event(Grindfest).

Whoever thought this would be a good idea really needs to think again.
    It's god damn awful.
    Terrible event.

    Can't end soon enough.

Given how buggy the game is, there is a distinct probability of this happening.

I will be back when the second part of Solstice is open to explore and quest.

And then after all these years it is probably finally time for a big break. This year drained all the love I had for the game from me.

    Phase 1 lasted 2.5 weeks
Phase 2 looks to set to last 2.5 week as well and we are just over 1.5 weeks in.
Phase 3 is known to last 7 days

So 14 more days ... (GP has 14 days left to run, what a "coincidence")

Writhing Wall update. We are pleased to see so many players jumping in and contributing to the effort to bring down the Writhing Wall. While progress has been steady, we have heard the feedback that the event feels like its taking a bit too long. With that in mind we are going to make an adjustment to speed up contributions across all realms so that players can experience the Writhing Fortress and Eastern Solstice as soon as possible. This has been a tremendous effort for everyone involved and we appreciate those that have dedicated the time to the event. Player contribution still matters but your contributions going forward will matter more. Thanks!

I'm hoping the whole event, including Writhing Fortress will be over in three weeks, to give us time before the New Life Festival to explore the new zone. Ideally I would like it over way before that but seeing how slowly progress moves, I'm not holding out much hope. ZOS is known to stubbornly double down on unpopular decisions but this honestly takes the cake. Such a fiasco and for them not to try and ameliorate it by at least moving the meter faster is just mind-boggling bad practice.

At this point, I'd probably prefer to believe that they have been hit really hard by the budget and staff cuts, especially those halfway through the year, so they had to make do with what and who was left.
Because if this is what they had originally planned and prepared their marketing campaign around, then I'd have some very nonprintable words for whoever thought this would be a good idea.

And one can only hope that they accounted for their lack of resources when planning next year...
