Would you like Zos to show some love to magicka builds?

Will there ever be balance in this game? Im bored with stamina builds. I'd like to see my magicka races do more damage. I play bretons and I'm not changing their race. Magica builds arecweak so really can't find any content creators making any other than one bar builds.

So all this subclassing to have cookie cutter builds again and again. It's getting boring

Plenty of magicka builds, there is lots variety with subclassing and scribing, so much you could do with a little imagination.
But if you just copy paste 'the best' meta builds and if you lose 2k dps it means a build is weak and worthless you're gonna lock yourself in a pretty boring box to begin with, but that's your own choice.

Of course, what else could this be about?! Magicka, stamina, two-handed sword on the back bar, a dagger or etc… The damn problem is always the same: DPS sharing and logs.

My god, will ZOS ever understand that this is killing the game just as fast as they are?
Elder Scrolls Online? A delightful blend of tragedy and comedy. Hilarious! Terrifying!

Huh? I see a lot of people using daggers on frontbar, greatsword on backbar.

Seconding this. Making your own builds will also have you understanding the build better because you’ll know why everything is there. Same principles as stam builds but with mag max resource and primarily mag abilities. I still have my frostden and he does fine despite being in light armor (since you’re a breton, could probably get away with medium armor). You can also pull out older MagDK builds and go from there. Or older magplar builds. The only class that I tell people to not even do mag on is arcanist because the rotation is more difficult, looks similar, and yet it does less damage.

Since Hybridisation and Multiclassing, "stamina build" and "magicka build" have lost meaning.

Mostly since hybridisation, so this has been a thing for quite a while now.

The character I usually play as a DD these days is technically a "magicka build" because she has 64 points into magicka.
But she uses daggers on one bar and would use a greatsword on the other if I didn't dislike Stampede so much.
Conversely, you can use almost the exact same build and put all points into stamina - with the same result.

Daggers on a magicka character, a staff on a stamina character, it really doesn't matter any more.

I don't have even one stamina build that I actually play.

All of my builds are pure magicka and tbh I'm not really using any subclass skills atm, I do use a couple of scribed skills though.

As I mostly solo stuff I don't have to worry about upsetting people and I have never followed a build guide without tinkering with it.

I do just fine and can solo many four man's, including DLC's, the DLC's I am starting to work on solo-ing Vets, base game most vets are fine.

As someone said above, do your own build, it really helps if you know why you are using a specific skill!

I am not sure where you are seeing all of these staves. For PvE endgame is almost exclusively dagger / greatsword, with some bows thrown in for fun. Staff backbar really only when you cannot use anything else.

But to answer the OP - I would love to see my casters using FB staves again instead of daggers.... but then again... I would also love to see something other than acranist as the primary line too.

Not holding my breath on either

It hasn't been 2k dps since hybridization. These days oldschool mag builds (light armor, double staves) are muuuuch weaker than medium+daggers combo. You can run whatever looks nice in overland, but in content where damage matters, noone wants to self-nerf for roleplay.

You don't have to use damage meters or run with groups that do.

As someone learning hard mode and trifecta raiding, I have a meta build for all 3 roles. That said, there's so much you can do with just a little imagination and a couple hours. Some of my guilds dps discord channels are full of talk of weird off brand fun builds for normal dungeons or guild run vets or just overland fun. Themes, weird subclassing, off the wall sets, I would suggest you dive in and start looking around at what different sets do and put something together. It may take some time and you may not get into a trifecta prog with it but you can have some good times.

I would love for there to be magika builds first. And then I would love for Zos to show some love to them.
