Does the Writhing Wall wrap around the eastern island?

Dumb question for people on pts or people who have cheesed through to eastern Solstice: does the Writhing Wall actually wrap around the island’s coast or is it just a divider along the middle? Like is there anything stopping a navy from sailing in?

metheglyn✭✭✭✭✭I think the official lore explanation is "stormy seas and fog make finding and landing on the island difficult." But in game we never got a reason why we couldn't just sail around to the other side. That's an interesting question. Funnily enough, that does come up, albeit in a joking way, in a quest. But honestly, did we canonically ever try any of these options?0 -
Aliniel✭✭✭✭✭This is one of the big issues with the Solstice story. It's cheap story writing in my opinion. It feels like they just needed to split the content into two parts and went with a wall.
They've really given us no explanation why we can't go around it.

Which quest is that from?
The newest one with Darien. It's not in the quest dialogue itself, but one of the ambient/proximity dialogue comments he makes as you progress through the quest.Edited by metheglyn on October 31, 2025 5:10PM0
