Need help with quest 'A Study in Discipline.'

I need help. I can't seem to complete this quest.

So I started the quest, spoke to the quest giver, and have followed the instructions so far. I selected a new class, a new class skill line, and a line from my current class to replace it with. I've slotted the first skill of the new line onto my weapon bar, but when speaking to the quest giver, no option shows to move the quest forward or finish it. My only options are to pay 1500 gold to select a new class line or leave the conversation. Have I done something wrong?

Never mind, I figured it out. I would edit/delete this post if there were a way to. I have to say, though, that this is the worst quest I have ever done in this game and it boggles my mind that it is in the game in this state.

The writing for the quest is very confusing and unclear about what the player needs to do. And we are not able to abandon it like we can with every other quest in the game. It's by far the worst quest I've ever seen.

Complete the Quest. Use the Respec Scroll if you need to to to undo any changes. Basically, add a skill line, talk to the quest giver, complete quest, use respec scroll

I had to select a class skill line that I hadn't gotten leveled to 50 yet. If you've already leveled every skill from every class to 50, then you can't finish it.
