Gifting Not Allowed after 6 Years of Active Playing

After almost 6 years of nearly daily playing, actively participating in all kinds of content ESO has to offer (except housing), including guild activities and group content; being an ESO Plus subscriber for all this time, purchasing all new chapters and having spent tons of crowns in the Crown Store, I am not allowed to gift Crown Store items, because apparently my account has not
shown consistent game play activity and/or be active in an in-game ESO community prior to submitting your application to be considered for eligibility to participate in the ESO gifting program

You'd think it doesn't get much more active than I already am, but nope. How much more active do I have to be to qualify? Quit job and be online 24/7? I asked Support to reconsider, but they insist:
As it stands, this request will not be granted.

@ZOS_Kevin , can something, please, be done (ticket number # 250911-001126)? And in general, not just for mine, but for many people's sake who are experiencing this nonsense, can this absurdity somehow be changed? Please, ZOS, allow us to give you our money!

I agree - I refuse to play the game any further other than daily log in to collect the login awards. They have effectively ruined a great game with this gifting non-sense.

Any staff that is reading this tell your decision makers that this arbitrary 'we can't tell you what you need to do' in order to qualify for gifting really negatively impacts game play.

THIS IS NOT THE SOLUTION YOU SEEM TO THINK IT IS

Hell I would be willing to pay a fee and submit to whatever gifting restrictions you wanted to put out there if I could at least gift one thing a day or something - surely that would solve whatever rampant fraud you seem to think is happening on the platform.

Great way to make a great game suck.

I think it ridiculous that I am not allowed gifting on my account. I have played through 32 characters (console and pc) over the last ten years. I play regularly. I am a member of 5 guilds, including one I GM. I have paid for every chapter and mostly had ESO plus since it came out until last month. Check the records, I joined console in 2015 and PC in 2016. I find it absurd that I am not allowed to spend my crowns the way I see fit.

I asked yesterday for allowing gifting, just for science, since I never bought ESO+ and my last crowns purchase was around 9 years ago
That means i dont really gift things to others.

And it took them less than hour to grant me gifting option for my account!

Something is not right it seems.

This exact thing with the same response happened to a friend I play with. They arn't going to come to the forums. Thats just one more player that got told they arn't worthy of gifting stuff to friends. I would guess something is broken somewhere.

    Greetings,

Thank you for contacting The Elder Scrolls Online Team.

We understand your frustration, but we are not able to disclose the criteria for the Gifting program that your account did not meet. Eligibility is determined by an evolving list of factors including but not limited to the account being at least 180 days past its first login and previous engagement with in-game features.
The Gifting feature was removed from all The Elder Scrolls Online accounts and has been re-enabled on accounts that have passed all of the criteria by going through this process.
With this said we would suggest playing the game normally and trying again in the future.
We appreciate your interest in the gifting program and thank you for your understanding.

    Regards,
    The Elder Scrolls Online Team

To be honest, your responses are actually causing me to NOT WANT TO PLAY the game...AT ALL...EVER. You gladly take my money, month after month, year after year. Yet what you are telling me, and many others, is that we only qualify as subclass. You want us to all jump through your elusive hoops that may, or may not, even exist. In my opinion, if you cannot control the fraud maybe you should just eliminate it from the game altogether. We lived without it just fine for years. But to arbitrarily, at least from what the community can tell, punish us for some unknown offense is completely un-American and offensive to your player base that have supported you for years.

    A friend of mine is having a similar issue, she's not got a forum account so I'll send some of the info on behalf of her;

We will assume your issue has been resolved if we do not hear from you within 96 hours (4 days).

This is not the first time she's ran into the issue of gifting not working and it is seemingly due to her account region being blocked (account was created in Lebanon around 2019) but she has since moved to a country that does not have any gifting restrictions but despite this the region has not been changed through customer support tickets and gifting related tickets get closed despite no issues being resolved.

Any help would be greatly appreciated and please let me know if there's any other information I should send through relating to the most recent of the aforementioned tickets.

I have multiple accounts, play both PC-NA and PC-EU, and have over 90 characters. I have gifting on some accounts, and others have been denied. At this point, I just won't pay for ESO+ anymore on accounts that have been denied gifting, and am not getting the content passes on them, either. I have all pre-2025 chapters on them already.

Thank you @ZOS_Kevin , I am indeed allowed to gift crown store items as of October 22! Thank you for looking into it and working your magic!

I hope this problem gets addressed in general, and other active players' requests to allow gifting don't get turned down, and they won't have to cry for Community Managers' help like I had to o:)
