Hollowjack taking all the resources

Just ran with PUG in Hollowjack and there was a severe drain on resources today. I have ran this several times since the event started and this was crazy. I use my potions and look down at my resources to find out they are at the bottom bouncing from 0 - 700 then back to 0. I had 1151 stamina recovery major Endurance, something is very wrong.

Note particularly the dependence of resources drain on the number of players, and whether or not they deal with the crows (points 6 and 7 in the guide).
