Soul Reapers?

I'm trying to do the Soul Reaper Destruction achievement, to destroy 25 of them across tamriel, I occasionally saw them like a month ago, but now, I don't see any, I've gone through nearly every zone once over. And haven't found any.

They're supposed to be in the same spots as those 2 wave minor daedric incursions yeah? Because I checked all the spots as I said, and I've not found any in maybe a day and a half of playtime.

I've been looking for them all over Tamriel a week ago and didn't find a single on. Checked all the fissure spots in most of the zones. Nothing, not a single one.

I did encounter 2 in Solstice during this weekend though. That is 2 Soul Reapers in about 14 hours spent there roaming all over the place questing and gathering resources.

Isn't it connected to the Writhing Wall event that starts today?

I was under the impression the ones in the other zones besides Solstice showed up too early and they will spawn correctly after event starts, I may be wrong though! 🙂
    When people say to me........
"You're going to regret that in the morning"
I sleep until midday cos I'm a problem solver!

It's listed under the prologue achievements. So logic dictates they should be active.

Yes it is but this wouldn't be the first time achievements showed in our logs before they went active! 🙂

This case is a bit different. If I remember correctly those Soul Reapers were intoduced to the game couple of months ago, first they were bugged (you could get them only very early after server maintanances), then they were working ok for a while but after that they got buggy again.

This topic pops up recently, havent seen any claryfication from ZOS.

The soul reapers were designed to appear all across Tamriel the moment the prologue quest became available back in March/April. They were bugged in the sense that they'd spawn once after each server reset but then not subsequently respawn. This was supposedly fixed with U46. But since then the Soul Reapers have never reliably appeared. We're now approaching U48, and they're still not.

There's another thread going back a couple of incremental patches lamenting the lack of Soul Reapers anywhere in Tamriel. I'd not seen one since the last XBox incremental until just now.

FWIW it was in Stormhaven, half-way between Sleeping Giant Wayshrine and the eastern bridge to Bangkorai.

You're correct. Soul Reapers started showing up at Dark Fissures (those mini-dolmen scattered around the base-game zones) when the Solstice Prologue quest went live back in April. They seem to have disappeared after Update 47, which is a real bummer because there are skill style fragments which can't be collected from them if they aren't showing up. And yes, ZOS has been notably silent about them. There is at least one Soul Reaper which is supposed to show up after defeating the boss at a siege camp defense, but that would make those three pursuits unobtainable for anyone who doesn't have Content Pass.
I'm fresh out of outrage, but I could muster up some amused annoyance if required.

You'll easily hit your soul reaper requirement doing the siege camps. You get multiple there just by participating.

When you are looking for them, don't focus on the soul reaper. Look for a couple of NPCs standing around. The Soul Reaper will pop in when you get close.

Before the Writhing Wall started, I found a few reliable ones that spawned on Solstice, however, the fragments for the soul trap skill only drop from the true bosses.

With this event, doing a siege event will give you the reaper achievement, but none of the bosses are lootable (unless you have the souls daily as well, and I believe that's all that drop). So if you're after those fragments for the soul trap skill, you still have to find the reapers in the wild.
