Cyrodiil pvp is only existing for like 3-4 hours per day

Hello everyone,

first of all to claify, this is CONSOLE , PLAYSTATION EUROPEAN server.

While it´s no secret the population is low overall and specificly on our server, i just want to focus on pvp with this.

Back in the days, when i came home from work at like 5pm it was 3 bars of pvp in cyrodiil everyday, on the weekend we had queues, i remember a friend used to switch alliance to my alliance, because he had queues from +100 outside of a event on AD.

Nowadays, we have bareky 3-4 hours of populated pvp during the day, in the hours of 6-10 pm europe time, sometimes a bit earlier, sometimes a bit later.
When i say populated pvp, i mean in fact every alliance has like 2 bars. Recently sometimes AD has 3 bars but thats it. And thats rare.

Normaly on the weekends its more then during the week, but this also doesnt appear anymore.

The last vengeance i participated for one hour, noticed nobody was playing and stopped aswell. The last midyear mayhem before, greyhost was full, but just - no bars on blackreach, as always nothing in IC, GH just got a queue of like 15.

Its nice to get straight into the campaign during the pvp event, but its not nice when after 9 pm the first alliance has only 2 bars.

I see the good old days of busy and populated pvp, i was reffering to earlier are over.

But im questioning myself why is that?
Why are there no propper incentives, wich lead people into the game?
Why is there nothing being done by ZOS to keep that part of the game alive?

It has been said crossplay is in developement but even when im probably the biggest enthusiast for ESO cross play, i just dont see it happen anytime soon.

The pvp community is smaller then the pve community, i get that - but dont we deserve some love and caring by yous too?
I dont mean vengeance, this is just a slap in the face for me personally.

Im since years your customer and are paying my eso plus and getting all your chapters.
I feel lost and dont enjoy this game without pvp. And pvp is currently just dead.

Im asking you Zos , are you doing something ?

Move to PC, but sadly you’ll have to rebuy everything , outfits, morphs, houses, pets, mounts. No need to worry about DLCs, since ESO Plus unlocks them all. I guess that’s why they’ll never add cross-platform. Honestly, it’s unbelievable… a miracle anyone’s still interested in this pay-for-everything MMO with a free to play model

It is the same thing on Xbox NA.

IMO, this is the result of the fact that there is no regulation as to how many players each faction has. Regardless of what campaign you play in, one faction or the other has a distinct numbers advantage and it is pure, unchecked, and unbalanced combat.

It always happens, with one faction dominating in one campagin, then some players jump ship to the other alliances, thinking they're going to help make the campaign more competitive, and all they do is throw the numbers out of balance in a different direction.

I honestly if Zos was to encourage more players to play PVP in Cyrodil, we need more than low population or low score buffs to keep us playing in a campaign that is out of balance. AP is not the most useful currency in the world once you've accumulated tens of millions of it. They should seriously consider debuffing the faction that has a population advantage, and giving combat buffs to factions that are at a numbers disadvantage so that those 30 v 10 battles just don't feel so pointless.

It doesn't have to be a big buff, but enough to give the outnumbered faction a fighting chance. Increased damage with defensive seige, for instance, would help a lot.

Moving to pc is not an option for everyone for different reasons

There is one packed campaign on PC on the weekends. Everything else is the same right now.

On Xbox EU... its arguably in a worse state

The "blues" are pretty much much non existant, you rarely see more than 1 bar. theres one noteable chap that does seem to get people to rally around him, but hes from the US and barely on these days.

the "reds" seem to contain nothing but 80k heath and 50k resistance tanks, Vicious death / rush of agony bombers and cronos users - and run around as 1 or 2 giant x healing, collosos dropping ball groups - which basically makes it impossible to counter - which is why their are currently 3x the score of anyone else, and have been for monthly several campaigns now.

the "yellows" only have about 3 active guilds, and they only come on for a couple of hours in he evening.

TLDR - pvp in ESO UK Xbox is a mess

The server is mostly imbalance in Xbox EU right now. Last year EP was trashed every campaign for 10 months in a row. This year EP had more players and some good groups.

Players changed alliances which led to frustrations in alliances which led to some players not playing anymore.During mayhem DC had more players since no organized groups were left in EP.

And vengeance killed the rest of the population.
The pvpers who played Cyro never asked for a vengeance campaign. Most people who were still playing were happy with the game as it was anyway.
So I guess many of those who stopped playing shifted to other games.

The people you are talking about changed to EP newly from DC or AD.

On my server - XBOX NA - there is a faction that will have the numbers to the map, but they'd rather wait till we're all in bed before they get on and push an empty map.

Since Cyrodil is basically all-out war with no semblance of balance, at least from a player population standpoint, it creates a sick incentive to get on and push the map when other's aren't playing. This encourages PvDoor, not PVP. What we need is in-game mechanics where if the population is low, the Imperials retake the map so that no faction is getting ANY points while there is less than a bar of population for EACH of the factions. Basically, points should only be awarded for when there is active PVP combat going on.

Alternatively, they could make it so that objective points (holding the map) are weighted against kills and other combat metrics during when there is active PVP so there isn't a sick incentive to avoid PVP.
