    For some reason my strongest wish for ZOS at the moment is holiday PvP modes.
    PC/NA Dungeoneer (Tank/DPS/Heal), Trialist (DPS/Tank/Heal), and amateur Battlegrounder (DPS) with a passion for The Elder Scrolls lore

    You get a restricted "test" that will likely become permanent, because no one asked for it.

    And to think they could have converted all of the BG modes into better versions of 4v4v4 DM, then proceeded to pump out dozens of new maps. All we can do now is dream of what could have been 😢.

    How long would it take for Zenimax to do this?

    I mean ZOS can do whatever they want with their PVP. My ESO+ is cancelled on my account and my kiddos' accounts.

    Whatever. I'm off doing other stuff for now. My subscriptions won't make a dent in their budget from PVE, but I'm taking my money somewhere else. If I play it will be free-to play, but I'm on a break for now.

    Hey they just replaced the battlegrounds maps with worse, more boring ones like last year! Sometimes they break Cyrodiil for unclear reasons! They added an armory station and scribing altar to base camps recentlyish... there's sooo much progress happening for PvP right now! *weeps*

    This isn't technically true, they added volendruung in 2019 iirc and also reworked the BG system. But overall more things have been removed from PVP than added... I agree that's a big reason for the lack of community.

    Wow how could I've forgotten volendruung... I'm just hugely disappointed how the PvP community have been treated.

    Same here, cancelled my ESO+. Not going to support them anymore since they don't support the PvP community. Cba funding their PVE events.

    dude this people spending their days to kill pvp (and they get salary for that), day by day they doing it and it's been like that for the last 2-3+ years, we can't expect anything good from these people

    The hammer is the dumbest thing ever, ESPECIALLY during low population!

    How to make the perfect Cyrodiil:

    1. No hammer
    2. No CP (to match battlegrounds and keep PVP consistent)
    3. Better defenses for keeps to counter zerg play
    4. Rework siege system
    5. Add more benefits for maintaining/defending territory
    6. Integrate Cyrodiil territory with Imperial City territory for buff/debuff system

    A positive change that could be made to increase engagement would be limiting the benefits of night capping entire maps and taking all scrolls for benefits on top of emp. I would like to see negative impact based on the amount of stuff your faction currently holds.

    Personally I like the option of the hammer just not how it was implemented.
    The original design and discussion (prior to it's implementation) was intended to shake up the 'regular' Cyrodiil gameplay with some random event. During discussion with ZOS it was stressed that adding a single item / event location would cause lag and so multiple should be added to spread out the gameplay. Unfortunately that wasn't done so we have a sort of half implementation now.

    For example it would be quite fun if multiple hammers spawned but couldn't be held by the same faction in the same radius / location or they would explode, this would mean that fights would spread out more as the hammers would need to attack different objectives.

    Cyrodiil has had an issue with power increase for a long time, CP is only part of the story. I don't think just removing CP would really affect anything except players would feel that something they have worked towards was taken away from them.

    I agree that mechanics to counter zergs would be good however I think a big part of it now at the current stage of power that's been added is actually to reduce the power of groups. Zerg vs Zerg can currently be held by lower numbers provided they are defending correctly but as soon as you throw a group in on the side of the outnumbering faction the fight will always be won fairly easily (especially because groups heavily power scale based on the number of players in them). Previously 8 vs 12 wouldn't be too much of a difference, now the 12 (if of equal skill/gearing) will always win. - Siege is a part of that but shouldn't be the only solution.
