New Mounts I'd Like To Have

I posted part of this a few months ago as a reply in another thread.

ESO has some nice mounts that I would like to have especially that mammoth mount. I think that should a permanent addition to the Store. I had a few ideas for other mounts that I think would be nifty to have in the game even if they don't exactly match the lore(?)

A centaur mount where the player transforms into a centaur of some type whether it's a horsey centaur or a spider daedra or some other polymorph. I think it would be neat if the player could also take on a passenger while transformed into a centaur mount.

A moose mount with a MASSIVE rack.

A giraffe mount just because I'd like to see giraffes in ESO.

A brontosaurus mount where we get to ride on top of it's head just like Fred Flintstone. I think this would be an awesome mount just to sit that high up above the ground since we can't fly in this MMO.

This idea comes straight out of the MMO Rift - a 'levitation' mount like the Lovely Levitation mount (Valentine's Day) that used to be available in Rift. As far as I know it is no longer available in that MMO. Rift has a few 'levitation' mounts and I doubt they have an exclusive to that style of mount. The names and designs, yes but not the style of mount. The artwork/ graphics of ESO are superior to Rift and I imagine that these mounts would look better here than they do there.

Yea i also hoped for the first Mammoth mount to be a permanent addition to the Crown Store.

more moose mounts would be awesome!

Centaur and Spider Daedra mount/polymorphs would be pretty fun.

i would love to see Giraffes in ESO as well. maybe in a future Elsweyr or Hammerfell zone.

a Brontosaurus or something similar would be fun to see for sure. we already do have other dinosaur creatures with Guar and Kagouti so it does not seem impossible.

Levitation mounts would be great.

Guars are still my fave (even if I do use others for a while at times), no idea at all why there's not a Guar section in mounts in the crown store either. There's plenty of types that have been made, it's strange.

I would like to see a Clannfear mount tbh. Itd be so cool riding something that is almost like a Daedric Chocobo.

Haha that could be amazing. I think Clannfear's are great and would definitely be wanting a mount version if they did one well enough.

Vvardvarks used to be in the Bipedal mount category with Guar and Kagouti, but we got more specific mount categories recently + permanent mounts in the store changed a while ago.

maybe in the future the Vvardvark that's currently in the store gets swapped for a Guar or Kagouti

I would love to see these implemented as mounts:

Ostritches - because if an overweight Orc goes running past me on an ostritch with a flappy head, I'm going to need a grin-ectomy, and will probably need 5 minutes to compose myself and stop laughing.

Giant wasps/bees - because I think it would be funny to have a mount that audibly buzzes so you can HEAR the zergs coming in Cyrodil.

Ultra-light mount class - we have super heavyweight mounts, and now I think we should have the Ultra-lights. Soulshriven, scamps, bantam guar, pangrits, vvardvarks. You name it, if its small, then we should make it into a mount.

Just imagine how funny it'll look to be sitting atop the shoulders of a soulshriven, your feet pretty much touching the ground anyways, and that soulshriven is carrying you across the map and is keeping up with warhorses big enough to carry TWO riders at breakneck speed!

And we need to upgrade the speed of stickhorses to keep up with regular mounts so that they are also viable.

Thanks! I thought that seemed weird and like I remember it being different but I was away for years so wasn't sure. I'll try to check back there every so often too and see if Guars return.

Actually, centaurs are supposedly living in Valenwood. I doubt they'd serve as mounts though...

Giraffes are not part of the eso lore and their necks are so long how would you see past their neck while mounted...it would not be aesthetically pleasing...just saying, not trying to be deliberately negative here.

I like some of your other ideas for mounts.

I want a rootworm.

The ones mentioned in The Argonian Account and the Lord of Souls novels iirc.

Would also be easy as heck to implement, because you would essentially become invisible while traveling underground.

Before writing next time, try at least some effort.

First, centaurs do exist in Tamriel.

Second, every year the game adds the new creatures. This year, vahath behemoth and maldrith, last year fractured remnant and shattered shard. Before their introductons, they all were "lore-breaking" and "immersion-breaking".

Third - don't pretend to be an expert when you're not.

So, I found on UESP that there were centaurs in Daggerfall. That game does not exist for me on console so sorry I was so ignorant that I could not figure out that they appeared in games I could never play. Sheesh.

I like a Breton-styled dark Knight horse. A perfect blend between evil, edgy and clean medieval looks, but nothing cheesy. Immersive and subtle.

Still longing for my lil cat to chill on her magnificent flying carpet. It only needs to hover slightly below saddle height so no need to redo anything, just flatten the mount model into a carpet. We also don't need to actually fly, just hovering around would be fine.

Please consider this humble suggestion from your friendly neighborhood khajiit.

I just want more immersive mounts of animals that already exist and are even used as mounts to some degree.

Brontosaurus would be great. We could start a guild whose sole objective is to go around blocking points of interests, chests, banks, festival vendors etc.

One thing I would absolutely love, because of the colour scheme I often give my main (mage) character, is a vibrant blue Indrik with gold trim.
I'd also really like just a plain black simple horse in the newer, less chonky, model.
Seconding the request for an echatere.
I'd love more dwemer themed mounts too, like the wolf, not just more spider variants. Dwemer Senche/Horse/Bear etc.

Bristlebacks are already an asset in the game. I don't understand how we still don't have them as a mount yet.

We got a mammoth mount before even getting this one. LOL
