Inhale rethought

I think DK tanks might have some dissonance using Inhale: while the Draw Essence morph looks like it is more suitable for tanking (more healing + magica sustain), in most cases you'd prefer the other morph for the ability to interrupt targets (extremely valuable ability in tanking). So I propose sticking this feature with Draw Essence. And Deep Breath could have some other feature insted, for example, it could deal 2 fire pulses at 1.5 and 3 secs afters cast instead of 1 after 2.5 secs.

I would love for one of these morphs to not require a target on the initial hit for the second hit.

I realize what you are saying, but I personally really like the interrupt on Deep Breath. I use the skill on a HA DK and alternate the skill with burning talons between heavy attacks. Say, let both morphs interrupt as part of the base skill. More healing with Essence and more damage on Deep Breath for the morphs.

Also agree, YandereGirlfriend, the requirement of a target on the first part does limit the burst potential of the skill. Always thought the first targeting requirement should be removed the same as other delayed skills like Warden shalks doesn't need a target first to preload the damage.

    Stay safe :)

I haven't thought about that, but now I agree with you. It would be great if both morphs have interrupt and wouldn't cause build problems for those who already use Deep Breath.

I also think that the requirement of a target on the first part was supposed to add a unique feel to the skill like you're drawing essence from your foes and turning it into fire against them.

I'd personally like to see Deep Breath become better for DPS, since that morph already increases the damage of the second explosion. I believe the damage of the initial hit could be increased by over 30% and the skill would still deal slightly less damage than Blighted Blastbones, even without Blastbones' guaranteed Disease status effect.

Adding another explosion to Deep Breath, like you said, would be fun too though.

I was also thinking of one morph getting a longer delay to the payload and instead it would receive a "while inhaled" buff, so that it could trigger the % healing passive by itself. That buff could be anything and the payload could be on demand by activation or attack trigger (HA or so).

    Sounds cool
