For me personally I prefer the new model because the old one was didn't look like a spear but a cylinder model with pointed tips and no detail but being bright yellow. However I wanted to make this poll if you prefer the old or the new one.

The new jabs animation isn't a spear. It's a night hollow stave. Literally, it's a night hollow stave. It's not a spear of light like all the other templar spear of light animations are.
This is the change that made me realize ZOS might be slipping off the edge of sanity.
Made from a long rod of dark iron, a Nighthollow staff features a headpiece in the form of a wide-bladed spearhead. This is generally not used for stabbing, and instead focuses and directs the weapon's destructive energy.

Well, the night hollow staves are made using spear heads, so they aren't necessarily exclusive to the night hollow staff.Made from a long rod of dark iron, a Nighthollow staff features a headpiece in the form of a wide-bladed spearhead. I could live with this part if the skill itself didn't suck and have a goofy animation.

Still, I guess it's not like ZOS has any way for us to change the effects of a skill so we could choose which we like better, right? Pity...

No, ZOS never ever changes the cosmetic appearance of anything after it has been released (due to the conundrum with the OG Redguard motif).
Unless they do ofc, but again even if they do, they don't.

Yeah, thinking the same thing! Been soooo long I cannot remember the old animation, so I voted for the new animation. Try and move on people. Not worth the ulcer.
