Xbox - ESO is not registering button presses properly

Doesn't matter the area, pve, pvp, housing.

Sometimes you press a button and it get's delayed, or sometimes doesn't work at all. In this clip I pressed my netch, noticed it didn't go off and instantly stopped doing anything. It then went off about 4 seconds after I pressed my netch. I'm not lagging, as my bear is still attacking. This also happens with literally any interaction. Opening doors, changing the menu, jumping, etc.

I just went into my xbox settings and the test mode for my controller, to see if any buttons stick. It shows exactly when a button is pressed down and when it is released. I spammed everything for 5 minutes and there was no stick.

There is something going on in this game to where the button presses you do are either "stuck" in a limbo period or ignored completely.

I have an open nat. All ports recommended by eso are open. I use a hard line directly into my modem and a wired controller.

You're not alone! I've had the same problem, did the same thing as you. I even took apart my controller, cleaned all the contacts, and now it works great in all of my games - except for ESO: It's like I never changed anything! There's definitely something that causes inputs to be delayed.

Oh... and I'm using a "wired" controller, so it's not a signal problem... and it still works great in other games!!! 🤔

The only other game that has issues like this I can remember is new world on launch and that was verified to be networking issues on their part
