The Dragons in the Infinite Archive are too difficult for Arc 2

Forgot I'd saved this clip until this thread reawakened..

Arc 2 dragons are just too easy. Even when you run into the dragon's AoE to bash the pilferer.

    [edit] This was pre-subclassing

Wow. No wonder so many people run Arcanist. Also, Azandar's response there - he's quite the character.

I do not believe they are that hard. With a little bit of tanky build they should not pose a threat. Their movements are also predictable.

There are a couple bosses that give me trouble on Arc 2, the Maw of Lorkaj bosses. A matter of remembering mechanics more than anything. Never had a problem with dragons.

If you have an assistant, when your companion dies summon an assistant then dismiss them and usually the companion is resummoned alive.

Not unsummon, you can effectively make them passive/stop them fighting. I dont know the buttons on pc for that. Turn it on again whwn the dragon lands
    Here's a guide to pet/companion commands: https://benevolentbowd.ca/games/esotu/eso-guide-pet-commands/
    Look for Attack / Disengage.

Having said that, there is a trick you can use to unsummon companions during combat, and then re-summon them. Have a banker or other non-companion ally on your quick bar, and summon them when you want your companion to go away. Hit the banker summon again to dismiss them, and your companion will rejoin you. Even in combat.
However, it may take longer than normal for them to re-engage, especially if they're your tank.

This also works well as an instant rez if your companion dies. :)

i still usually dont find much of anything difficult unless im running a full dps with low armor past arc 4 lol

the other day i actually killed the arc 1 tho'at in 4 seconds on a dps spec with good verse/vision options lol

the companions are usually sufficient to tank most of the bosses, for the dragons you just have to make sure your not gonna get wing slapped, and during the fly phases (especially yolnakrin) you can just set them to passive until the dragon lands again
