Enough with the Alinor furnishings

There was no reason Nocturna would decorate in Alinor furnishings in the Clockwork City nor for a Daedric theater in West Weald to have Alinor furnishings, now the Druids of High Isle are using the stuff in the newest house. If they weren’t going to use Druid furniture wouldn’t High Isle furnishings be the next most likely?

Alinor furnishings are nice but using it as the default Tamriel furnishing really does cheapen a good thing. Maybe come up with a common refined line of furnishings but I’ve definitely had my fill of Alinor furnishings,

While I’m on the topic of housing, some of the worm cult pieces are really great but a “cult” with a branded line furniture is no longer a cult. It is a corporation. Just as evil but not a cult.

I don't mind Alinor furnishings per'se. But I do take exception to the absurdly limited methods of acquiring Culada Lacquer to craft said furnishings. =/

we already had an Alinor Greenhouse and High isle is super close to Summerset, it is not that strange to get more Alinor style greenhouses.
The house does use Druidic furniture

Nocturnal* did not decorate in Alinor furnishings in Clockwork City.
There is a portal in Clockwork to the Evergloam with an Alinor style house.

There is no Daedric theater in West Weald that has Alinor furnishings.
Theatre of the Ancestors's entrance portal is at an Ayleid ruin in Blackwood.
The house itself is in the Colored Rooms which is Meridia's realm.
Meridia has been worshipped by Altmer and Ayleids so a house in her realm using both styles is again not that strange.

the Worm Cult furniture i agree is a odd with its branding, but i do like some of it so i do not mind it personally.

Thank you for all that but I’m sorry to say I’m still tired of seeing Alinor furnishings in homes and just like the high elves being in Solstice concocting feeble explanations only makes the incongruities more egregious. “If you have to explain it, you already failed.”

it's fine to dislike alinor furniture, but this seems more like just not caring about elder scrolls lore

I would also like to point out that Molag Bal merits his own Coldharbor furnishing, Dagon has Deadlands furnishings and Mora has Apocrypha furnishings but eight years into the game when Nocturna became the first “female” daedra with her own home, it was furnished with “hand-me-down” Alinor furnishings as was Meridian’s Theater.

Gender parity in the Tales of Tribute patrons has also been a long time coming.

Both studio head and ESO creative director positions filled this year where two men who held the positions were replaced by two more men. Men: 4. Women: 0. Seven “leaders” on the AUA Reddit and five presenters on the update 48 reveal. You do the math.

I know woke is out of fashion in the US along with decency, but I’m going to keep pointing out that more than half the population still doesn’t own anywhere near half the voices in the room. ZOS or at least ESO makes admirable efforts at representation across the board. But if the “good guys” have these results, imagine how bad it is where people aren’t even trying.

I like Alinor furnishings. They are as good as anything in the game but if Alinor was a very closed society, according the lore you are accusing me of not caring about, I think the idea that they would be exporting not only across Tamriel but into Daedric planes is more than I’m going to swallow.

And we are not even talking about a piece or two here or there. The new Druid house may have Druid furnishings but the quantities are out of balance by multiples if not tens of multiples. Druids in my imagination wouldn’t want anything to do Alinor and their refined, urban sensibilities

I had a look at some of the videos previewing Druidspring Conservatory and I did think the styles looked a bit incongruous. Is there a reason for Alinor-styled greenhouses to be used by the druids? Aren't druids very much into natural forms and nature-driven shapes, whilst the Alinor style is extremely elaborate and studied?

I'm not on the PTS, so perhaps I'm missing some context.

They are just slapping concepts together, throwing spaghetti at the wall and trying to write around it at this point. No real vision or lore as a guiding principle. Just a product to be sold from the scraps of genuine inspiration.

A four season Druid house is a great concept. The existing Druid house can easily be converted to that and the concept is realized.

The Alinor greenhouses are beautiful art and can be de -druified. Only inconsistency left is why would there be a high elf expatriate architect building a compound in north eastern High Isle. The weather is not any better than summerset. Maybe they just really like sunflower seeds.

Come to think of it, it is a bit off. My wife simply loves the druid stuff in game and mentioned to me that she wasn't a fan of the lack of druid stuff in the house. Wonder why.

To use some imported furniture (with glass panels your people cannot craft) to build your own dream garden - it can happen.
But I most confess I first thought that house would be placed on the Sommerset iles.

Can happen and resonates meaningfully within the context of a story are two different things.ZOS has just gotten so sloppy with the lore they just use “can happen” has an excuse for skipping the latter.

Hey now, the wormies need to fund their operations somehow, so I don't see the problem with their selling mugs written "Dead and lovin' it" or Mannimarco plushies at the gift shop.

I love Alinor furniture and structural furniture pieces from the standpoint of what I want to place down in a home.
But that's also because it doesn't have much competition in terms of beauty aesthetics.

I'm still hoping we get roof pieces from all the existing roofs in the game. The Alinor slanted roofs are gorgeous!

    Also, still hoping we get open-air (or transparent glass) versions of all the opaque windows. {Looking at you, new Alinor window}

I'd welcome Nocturnal having her own furniture style, and I agree Alinor furnishings in her realm did seem weird. Maybe someone with more lore knowledge can explain to me why Nocturnal specifically chose the Altmer race? I don't know a lot about Elder Scrolls lore.

I don't care for Worm Cult furnishings at all, but I'm glad other people are excited about it. I wonder what Nocturnal furniture would look like.

The new house looks extremely exciting to me, so I am not going to complain about how it looks or it's themes and name. But I am going to complain that there still isn't more alinor structural furnishings to use in it.

My opinion of ZOS is so low right now I would expect nothing more than purple Alinor furnishings for Nocturna. I kid…I kid.

Alinor furnishings can be excused in the new druid conservatory house if it belongs to a breton embracing both their human and elven heritage
