Error when starting the game

Every time I start the game, I get a strange error.

It says:
Internal error...
ABORT - No memory address to free (11/39)
(C:\actions-runner\_work\client\client\workflow\taskscheduler.c/130)
This error appears only for less than a second, and most of the time, I only hear the Windows error sound.

Capturing it on a screenshot wasn't easy, but I was finally able to do it:

I can still play the game, no problem, but the error is starting to get on my nerves. I can't say exactly how long I've had this error, but it's been a couple of months, give or take.

What's interesting, it's my first week on a new PC, but despite that, I still get the error just like on my old PC.

I have never used any add-ons.

I do wonder, since the error mentions a client, could it be something with my internet settings? Outside of this error, my internet works flawlessly.

Sorry for replying to this old post, but did you ever solve this issue @Versalium ?

I have the exact same error code and issue.

I've been troubleshooting with the ZOS support since August 22 and only just recently we've come to the point that the issue is most likely connected to the Epic Games Store. So now I'm in contact with the Epic support. Nothing useful so far.

Are you using EGS for ESO as well?

I have been getting this too when playing ESO via Epic. This does not appear when I play ESO via Steam.

I would say that this has started in the last few weeks. Normally, it does disappear rather quickly. But today it had remained in place with a faded launcher. The launcher finished closing when I pressed OK on the error box. I suspect it might have something to do with how Epic has chosen to close the launcher after the game starts. I only say that cause Steam does not close the launcher, and I've not had this error appear there. Although, the Steam launcher can be slow to close after exiting the game. So... there could also be something that has been changed on the launcher itself which has affected other processes.

The Epic support is now telling me that "it's not us, it's them". I hate when no one wants to take responsibility for these things. And I also don't understand why it's me who must go through all this nonsense. Aren't ZOS interested to have their game work properly on every platform? Why aren't ZOS trying to figure this thing out with Epic instead of me?

    Edit
Guys, anyone who experience this issue, please report to Epic Games and ZOS. In the latest reply from Epic support, they told me:

"However, we don't have any reports of this issue and since it is related to the game itself, the correct support is the Bethesda one".

I feel like I'm the only one who's reporting this. Please do so too, it will help!

    Important update

So the issue with the error was resolved for me, for now. ZOS support sent me a "custom launcher" that you need to unpack where the game is installed and replace the original files. With that, I don't have an error when I launch the game from EGS.

I don't know if it's okay to share that launcher here, @ZOS_Phoenix please tell me.

But you can contact the support, refer to this thread or whatever, ask them to send you that launcher.

Of course, I told ZOS support that this custom launcher is only a workaround and the issue need to be fixed in a standard launcher, and they told me:

"We are aware of the issue some players are having with the ESO Launcher and the custom build is just a workaround while the main issue is being worked on. We expect to have the main issue resolved in a future update. "
