This recent update has made me sad. Sad for the game. Sad for the community. Sad to pay whatever it is now. I want the previous eso back.

Make gold, farm new dungeon motifs, I used to do trials mostly but they keep nerfing builds I enjoy and making new hard modes more and more out of reach.

A lot of this is going to sound the same as other posts… crafting dailies, endeavors, antiquities, daily quests from the newest zones, trying to solo group dungeons and world bosses, the IA occasionally, every event, every GP, work on my stickerbook, and working on different characters that are in various stages of completion of the various zones. Across all my 12 characters, I’ve done almost every single thing in the game at least once but someday I would like to have all of them do everything, which means I have to do everything 12 times, more if I ever get inspired to make another character. I’m kind of leery about making a 13th character.though!

I recently discovered CoPilot does a great job fleshing out vague ideas I have for character backstories so I’m having fun doing that. It will take ideas you have and turn theminto a very nicely written backstory, and will even write journal entries as if they were written by your character in game.

With the new zone pushing the time of the game forward, i’m finding I have the urge to try and complete at least the original main quest and the guild quests on all my characters now.

Let's see here in no particular order..
    • Daily login reward.
    • Hireling mails.
    • Craft writs. (this is a maybe)
    • Collect skyshards on alts.
    • Resource collecting.
    • Roleplaying.
    • Grabbing new crown crate items that interest me.
    • Leveling up mounts on alts that need it.
    • Answer occasional questions that come up in /zone.

Sometimes I think of new alts but they never materialize as a character.

Not a lot now, most players I knew are gone or, like me due to changes in the game that seem to be aimed at new, returning or otherwise transient players, increasingly casualised. But also busy in rl so not so much free time anyway.

Hireling mails, daily log-in junk, maybe craft dailies or a survey or two, maybe grab some skyshards/skill points on an alt character, farm for a bit or dig up an antiquity or two to see if anyone might show up(if they do, random vet dungeon is usually all anyone has time for), dump furniture I'll never use in one of the houses handy wayshrines I have, check out some guild traders.

Beside the daily endeavours and daily crafting quests which I do on 1 to 12 characters depending if I feel like it or not or how much gold I spent at the weekly furnishing vendor, there always some projects that keep me occupied, like:

-Creating themed characters. Like you pick a theme and create a character around it. Just finished a dwarven focused treasure hunter and now doing a proper lich character. At this stage you have pretty much all the sets and items, most of everything on the crown store and crates, so there is a lot that's possible.

-Running dungeons solo. It started recently and I enjoy it a lot. Taking the time to not only follow the story, talk to the NPCs between bosses, but also to just have a relaxed look around. Some of the dungeons I thought I knew in and out I now notice are actually visually quite stunning if you take the time to admire it.

-Housing. The never ending endeavour. If you absolutely finished that one house and it's perfect, you do some house tours, see some nice ideas and you are at it again. And if you have most of the notable houses in-game, that alone takes more time than anyone of us has :P

-Questing: you always run across some quest in a zone you thought you did it all. On top of that, based on the theme of the character mentioned above, I do some questing on that toon in the zones that fits it the most. With so much quest content in this game, I often find myself not remembering most of the quests and it feels like playing them for the first time.

Well, I stopped doing the ESO chores of endeavours/writs/dailies, because I don't want my gaming time to be just a task list. I'm close to ignoring golden pursuits too, because I'm getting more efficient at doing those than my RL job LMAO. :p

So I thought I'll just do what actually feels fun in ESO. Which means I rarely log in, because all I have left to really do are odd quests and I'd like to do some more exploring, but other games are just more fun now. I do a bit of PvP, but I'm not sure how long my pure builds will work vs the subclassers.

New content in ESO tends to be stuff I'm not really interested in obtaining like dungeon/trial sets. Events are starting to feel stale now I've done them all for a few years, and again the rewards don't really appeal. Except the Sovereign Sow, which I think I'll be collecting fragments for in my 90s! I've lost track of the style pages and motifs I have never used! :D

I try to log in every weeknight after I make sure my kids doing his homework and not playing video games lol. I fight the clean up dinner dishes boss and log in. My guild does vet dungeon learning runs, I love those even if I know the mechanics now. I've really gotten into stealing for rare furnishing stuff. I have routes. Then by 8 it's trial time on Monday Tuesday and Thursday, sometimes Wednesday. One group is farming gear, one is teaching vet mechanics and I often sign up as tank to learn and one night is a prog. Currently vKA hm to get people SOTN and then move on to the tri. Some Wednesdays my Monday group will do hm runs and I learn in there too. I'm having a blast, really good time. I understand people's complaints about balance and being forced into one spec to not bring your team down. My dps is meta too, arc, plar, DK. Yes it can get boring but plenty of guys bring whatever to our hm runs and we clear. Idk. Hopefully i keep having fun.

    A little bit of everything:
    1. crafting writs
    2. daily endevours
    3. archive run sometimes
    4. trial runs but not that often as it can cause a headache when having to carry people who do not have any idea of any of the mechanics
    5. questing from time to time.
    6. doing antiquity excavations if they are going to expire soon.

I came back half a year ago as I took a break for 2 years. The reason for the break was because I did every major quest in the game, every dungeon, every hard mode achiement (almost 99%). And there was nothing else to do in the game to feel any progression from that point at all.
Now that I have a few "new" chapters I tend to take my time and just play for pleasure and not for completion and maxing out my build and damage.

Not much. I do endeavours. Sometimes a daily dungeon or battleground or writs. That's it.

I recently finished all the quests. I have all my companion keepsakes, maxed all subclasses and most of my sticker book is complete. My house is also finished. Since all that is complete the world that was always full of activity has become rather empty now and I don't want to play alts because it is pretty pointless to me (not a new game+ guy).

I will do the writhing wall event and the solstice zone story part 1 + 2 I skipped because I wanted to wait until everything is out. And then I will probably take a looooooong break if they don't come with the most amazing roadmap ever. They have been saying for a long time they have been working on amazing things, but so far it has all been very mid lately.

    PvP

    And by that I mean:
    • login and que up for a 30 min wait
    • Do daily chores because that is supposed to be "fun gameplay apparently"
    • Finally get into cyrodil
    • Spend 20 mins running across the map to a fight
    • Realize it is only two ballgroups in the corner of the map dueling each other causing lag
    • watch for 10 mins before going to another fight
    • Ride for 20 mins
    • Get to a keep where another ball group is just running around the top of a trikeep they pvdoor'd into showing how elite they are with 10x the stats of pugs while only fighting maybe 2x their numbers.
    • Then I go to BGs instead
    • Que for 20 mins
    • Finally get in and I am stuck fighting low cp new players, so I go 40/0 each match
    • I get bored and log out
    • Then I come pvp on the forums because there are enough bad faith arguers on here it can be comical
We should use the insightful and awesome buttons more

I do a mix of PVP or PVE, or lately I'll chip away at DLC storylines.

Most of the time I'll play PVP because I have a good and fairly active PVP guild, but I also enjoy running vet Dungeons and trials. If I'm not doing either of those things, I'll farm or do some quests to have some quiet downtime.

I also dabble in housing decoration, but that comes in fits and starts.

The same thing every other player does, log out. (I'm giving the obvious snarky answer just to be funny. Everyone who logs in eventually logs out, no matter what they do in game)

Seriously though, I think it varies a lot based on interest. For me it's PvP mostly. After writs and endeavors I focus on building a strong toon for PvE dps and a strong toon for PvP for every class....or at least that's what I did before subclassing. Now it's just figure out a strong subclassed build because classes are basically irrelevant now.

Usually endeavors (loot boxes were banned in my country, and that legislation also applies to crown crates), often check what the undaunted dlc dungeon of the day is, lately I've been doing some zone dailies since I never bothered with them overly much, I also noticed I had a few side quests missing in expansions where I didn't get to play the game much like Summerset so I try to do one of those every few days on my main ancient character. Tales of tribute or daily dungeon on alts when enlightenment gets to 4.8mil. When mythic leads are about to expire, ride around Tamriel... list things on guild merchant, check out cosmetics, do some housing (dangerous: can easily turn into hours gone poof), as some genius said here - the unending chore of inventory management and juggling of hoards of loot in guild banks, like the one with thousands of crafting motifs "you never really got round to listing", or the excess leftovers of "that time you wanted to control the market on one item". Very rarely group content or trials, but if it does happen it's usually awesome. In the past I would have ignored all of the above and went straight to Cyrodiil EU, but lately I found I was wasting my time with crappy fights and getting trolled continuously by people who don't enjoy the game but get off on toxic behavior, same in battlegrounds, usually one-sided with really questionable methods. So I do hope former cyrodiil enjoyers find their mojo back despite all this whining about subclassing and scribed skills and fotm broken cheese meta and make "the magic" happen, pvp in general might appeal to more people again then (hint: faction balance makes for great fights).
Anyhow in the unlikely event I would still have time available I log in to NA to run around there with my monkey. If by any miracle then I still feel I want to enjoy more that the game has to offer, like farming mobs or some other oldschool mmo thing, I might consider running daily writs on a couple characters, or crafting and upgrading the things I figured would make cool builds (rarely happens, once every few years, much cooler to look at the quantity of gold mats you got in craft bag and run around in purple outdated gear)

This is one of my fave activities as well. Now that I, my character and her companion have the skill and ability to solo most of the non-DLC dungeons, I love doing a solo Maj or Redbeard pledge every day. No respawning mobs, no other players, moving at our own pace, taking the time to appreciate the TLC that went into crafting these beautiful dungeons. Truly, dungeon crawling at its best!

For similar reasons, soloing non-DLC world bosses is another fave activity. Though I don't mind when others sometimes show up or join, these bosses are usually uncrowded and just waiting for my elf to ruin their day.

I also enjoy doing one full set of seven writs each day, as that helps keep the pantry full.

One thing I love about ESO is the absolutely massive number of repeating daily quests to pick and choose from.

Lastly, my elf really likes riding her precious mare (at a walk) along the beach, sometimes picking flowers, hunting mudcrabs or dropping a fishing line in the surf.

I started playing during 2015. I have 3 accounts, account #2 was an accident from buying the wrong Morrowind package. Account #3 was bought on purpose to have a new account with no achievements. So, depending on the time I have to spend on a game, this is what I do listed in order of time spent:
On account #3, very little unless I have extra time.
On account #1, I hurry through what I want to do to get to account #2.
On account #2, I go to Cyrodiil to spend some actual game time. (Please fix the stuttering, crippling lag and skill misfires brought in with update 47.)
