What's wrong with the drop rate of blue fish in Northern Elsweyr?

Yes, I know I'm late... but until now, I haven't been interested in this achievement — now I want the Argonian Houseboat. After 500 casts, I've caught 1 single blue fish - fishing together with Sharp and every fishing buff there is. That's no fun, how can you ever get those 4 blue fishes?! How many days, weeks, or months are you supposed to spend trying to catch all the blue fish in Northern Elsweyr when the drop rate is so abysmal?

✭✭✭✭✭yea they seemed to have nerfed the drop rate on the green and blue fish in most/all zones. I suppose to make getting the fishing achievement much longer to get (as if it wasnt a grind already) or at least to make getting it in the new zones take longer so people are in the zone longer, IDKBeta tester November 20131 -

✭✭✭I also had the impression that they nerfed the drop rate of the green and blue fish - which is especially annoying in the case of Northern Elsweyr, Coldharbour or CWC.
I find this anything but "motivating" to spend more time in certain zones; in fact, it spoils the fun of the game for me. Especially since my playing time is so limited. 1 -
DR4GONFL1✭✭✭✭Same… I have 8 hours over four days (only so much time I can play each day) in Northern Elswyer and ZERO blue fish. I’ve actually caught all eight green fish on four different characters. I’ve had Master Angler for years and it wasn’t easy but this is just defeating for sure. At some point the achievement isn’t worth the grind. When you finish it doesn’t feel like an accomplishment it’s just a feeling of relief. And to have to buy your reward at the end is just laughable.1 -

That was part of the 10 Year Anniversary celebration. Maybe it was popular enough that they'll bring it back at some point, but it is not a standard yearly event like Jester or Undaunted or Zenithar. So we don't know if or when it will be back.0 -

Here's my totals for N. Elsweyr so far (XB-NA) - still one fish (probably blue) to go. Each session was maybe a couple of hours max? Sharp for company, and I have his passive unlocked, but otherwise no fishing specific buffs.
