My wife and I have not had any clothing surveys for a few weeks now. Hope this gets fixed soon

Glad I found this thread. I haven't seen woodworking or clothing in a while. Any word on a hotfix? Crazy it is taking this long.

Same here, no woodworking or clothing surveys. As other stated I'm starting to feel it. A few weeks ago I sold some of my mats since I had plenty. But 2 dats ago for the first time I couldn't make my daily clothing crafting due to not having enough ancestor silk. Luckilly still had some raws, but thats the first time in years that this hapend to me haha

I'm going to amend my previous "me, too" to note that over the eight-ish days and few dozen crafting dailies since U47, my tally on surveys is 5 Alchemy, 5 Enchanting, and 2 Jewelry. I don't recall getting a Blacksmithing survey in the past week or so, but I also haven't seen double-drops of Blacksmithing writs like I have for Woodworking and Clothing. It's a small enough sample and I'm not doing dailies on all characters (including my crafter) that RNG frowning upon me could explain the lack.

My current tally of Unidentified surveys is:
21 Alchemist
24 Blacksmith
16 Enchanter
13 Jewelry
0 Clothier
0 Woodworking

I still haven't gotten one since they took the servers down yesterday. This is very irritating.

So is the bug giving us more master writs then?
I currently have more Alchemy, Blacksmith, Enchanting, and Provisioning writs than Clothier and Woodworking, although that could be chance. I do get some of everything.

It doesn't seem like we are getting more master writs though, but it's random. I don't feel I get too few master writs, but I do get 0 clothier and woodworking surveys. I do 20 per day.

My elf only does one round of all 7 daily writs every day. On the first day of the change introducing unidentified surveys, she got one blacksmith survey. Since then, she has gotten exactly zero more surveys of any kind. In a normal two week period, she would expect to see probably half a dozen surveys - not just one.

Good to know it's not just my imagination, and am looking forward to the fix.

Update: As of two days later, things seem to be improving. Seven writs a day has generated two more unidentified surveys.

I've updated the OP to clarify exactly what is happening.

Clothing/Woodworking Survey envelopes are not dropping from the Daily Writ Reward boxes. When you *should* get a survey envelope, you are *instead* getting a Master Writ. This is why some folks have seen double master writ drops from one container (the legit drop + the one that should have been a survey).

ZOS has stated this will be fixed in an upcoming incremental patch.

To fix this bug seem to take quite a long time. I am really running out of my ancestor silk/dreugh wax supply as surveys are how I get them.

If I get my tinfoil roll and make a nice hat out of it, I think I can find that inner voice which tells me that this is some ploy to empty our dreugh wax reserves.
