Shield Throw - direct ranged ability

Howzaa,

I was looking at:
Wrath of the Imperium

(2 items) Adds 129 Weapon and Spell Damage
(3 items) Adds 325 Weapon and Spell Damage to your ranged direct damage abilities.
&
Shield Throw:
Hurl your shield at an enemy, which then returns to you.

It is a ranged direct damage ability or no?
If I choose the multi option is each hit adding 325?

I would assume yes? I think direct damage means up front single target. Though I wonder if giving it multi-target would still count, since its still technically not an AoE, it bounces.

Multi shield throw is "Deals 3170 Physical Damage to an enemy and bounces up to 2 times to random nearby enemies, dealing 4227 Physical Damage and 5285 Physical Damage."
and that is not dealt in x seconds so it should be Direct
