Drop rate of Furnishing plans from Algae-Laden Sunport Packs.

Don’t you think it is too low a drop rate?

Furnishing plans(Tide-Born Totems, Oven) from antiquities bonus loot have an appropriate drop rate. They are sold among many traders in all of Tamriel. I was also able to find them.

On the other hand, from Algae-Laden Sunport Packs is not.
I checked how many plans were recently listed on the guildtraders, and there were only five on NA and EU combined so far. I myself fished out the packs or bought them from a trader, and I opened over 150 of those packs and found only a green plan.

It's a very nice design and I'd love to get it. But I'm afraid I'll give up before then. Is there any chance the drop rate will be fixed?

I have done a fair amount of fishing and never got a furnishing plan from them.

The drop rate is bad. It's simple as that.

I haven't done much fishing lately but the satchels didn't drop much for me either.

Yes, the drop rate on the satchels is very low, and usually it’s just a Ta or Pitch inside. I have gotten a few seashell furnishings but that’s it. The drop rate on the furnishing plans themselves are even lower.

Was the rate adjusted after the first week of Solstice? I got one on the first day (Coral floor lamp), and another on day three. After that it's been nothing.

Spending a lot of time fishing just to get a single enchanting piece is incredibly annoying.

You got three coral lamps then!? I envy you lol

When Season of the Worm Cult was released, I opened a ton of urns at Broken Light Temple, and I was able to get some purple plans (Tide-Born, Sunport) every day. It was really enjoyable and satisfying to do.

But after each maintenance, I couldn't get more of them. If I could, it would be only one purple plan in a week.

I wondered if the drop rate was adjusted or something?

True I think I do remember getting a Seahorse and a few shells.

I have gotten a ton of furnishings, but not a single plan yet. Granted, I don't do a ton of fishing, but I noticed it's been much lower than say, Apocrypha plans, and I forget if the Solstice packs themselves are tradeable like psijic satchels and apocrypha pouches

So far, I did 3 rounds of fishing with 2.5 hours each (as long as the Artaeum fish food lasts).
I got around 12-15 satchels each round with not a single plan.

The other stuff is trash. Denata was my best drop. The satchels are just like basegame satchels with tide-born feathers.

Summerset‘s satchels could at least drop a decent amount of good mats.

Algae-Laden Sunport Packs(Solstice satchels) are tradable. Usually, they are sold for 8k-11k. But their rarity is green. Psijic satchels are often sold for about 3k. Probably, it is easy to fish, so, affordable.

I wonder if situation were a little easier to obtain the plans from Algae-Laden Sunport Packs, it would be more motivating and even more fun to play. Those who already have it will be able to make even more money.

When fishing in Summerset for the furnishing items or Solstice for satchels I do not use the Arteaum food. I don’t want trophy fish and figure they would displace the satchels.

I tried it with and without him. I can’t tell if it makes a difference. I thought he just reduced the bait you got.

Honestly, I gave up on fishing. I spent days grinding Algae-Laden Sunport Packs and got no furnishing recipes. I got coral, seahorse display, and sea shells, etc...but no furnishing recipes. I'm beyond fed up with fishing packs.

As far as I know that is what he does. Unless something has changed, here's what he does. So he wouldn't help with Sunport Packs, most likely.

Hi everyone, we’d like to address the concerns raised in this thread about the Sharp’s Patience Companion Perk and clear up a few things.

For context, here’s the patch note for this perk:

“Sharp provides ‘Sharp’s Patience’ which offers an improved chance at finding trophy fish and slightly reducing reel time."

We hear your concerns about if the increase in trophy fish will result in an overall decrease in value. The short answer is no. Here are the main takeaways:
    • The appearance rate of Pyandonean Bottles, Waterlogged Psijic Satchels, and Gunny Sacks are not influenced by Sharps Patience; the overall appearance rate of these items has not changed.
    • With this perk, players can catch fish faster overall due to decreased reel time.
    • Sharp’s Patience perk does stack with the Champion Passive Reel Technique. They are calculated separately. You can benefit from both simultaneously, as well as with other fishing buffs and food such as Artaeum Pickled Fish Bowl, and fishing with friends.
    • Percent chance of catching bait (Chub, Minnow, Shad, and non-perfect fish roe) has been reduced with Sharp's passive. The increase in trophy fish is offset specifically by the reduction of these items.
We hope that helps clear up any concerns about this perk. Please let us know if you have any follow-up questions.

    Has anyone gotten the following?

    Praxis: Tide-Born Sculpture, Coral
    Design: Tide-Born Floor Lamp, Coral

I have opened around 120 now and I haven't found any furnishing plans, the most notable thing I got was a seahorse furnishing.

Thing is, I can't find any listings whatsoever for those two plans either.

The only one I can see listings for is:

    Praxis: Tide-Born Sculpture, Turtle

However, I found Tide-Born Floor Lamp, Coral for sale at the Guildstore the other day and rushed out to buy it. I was a little relieved at that moment. Because I could actually get the purple plan and it was a moment of certainty that it existed.

However, I have not found Tide-Born Sculpture, Turtle yet, so I have still been fishing.

Something peculiar I have noticed about these, they can drop antiquity leads too, depending on what zone you open them in.

Not sure if this is intended or not, but feels... odd.

    So far I've gotten:

    - West Weald: Ayleid Sculpture, Grand Tree.
    - Western Solstice: Solstice Giant Crocodile Skull.
    - Telvanni Peninsula: Tribunal Window, Stained Glass.

Currently planning to open them in N.Eslweyr to see if I get Khajiiti Water Vessel, Large as predicted.

Those are the zone specific „drop everywhere“ leads. They can drop from anything. Urns, mobs, chests and fishing. So opening a container at a specific zone may be intended. But it‘s indeed strange.

Seeing recent listings, I can say that drop rate of the plans, Tide-Born Sculpture, turtle and Tide-Born Floor Lamp, Coral, is not very active. The lamp plan is listed once or twice a week and the turtle plans is two months old on NA. On EU was a week or two ago though.

ESO Housing is a very popular content and this is a tough drop rate.

I would be happy if development team would realize this.
