Exactly where can these be found? The tip said Craglorn ruins but I couldn't find any.

If I remember correctly, the totems that Miregaunts spawn count as stone atronachs. So, find one in Murkmire or Solstice, attack it and wait till it spawns the totems, kill them, wait for the next batch to spawn. Just make sure to dismiss any pets/companions so they won't kill the Miregaunt too soon.

^^^ This is my go-to, except I go to Blackwood for them. There are some in the southeastern portion of the zone.

    Voskrona Guardians also count.

They actually don't show up in Craglorn overland, so the tooltip's a bit off for that one. Loads of dungeons though like Moongrave, Earthen Root, and Black Gem

As said Earthen root enclave dungeon - and the nice thing is there is 3 of them right at the start... so you can do those, reset the dungeon (or wait 5 min after leaving) and repeat...

the new 2 dungeon released with update 47 have them too if you havent done those yet...

    That's correct.

There usually are plenty of people gathering at Walks-Like-Thunder when this is a daily. Just make sure to aim for the totems, not the miregaunt itself.

The only base game stone atronach is the second boss in Aetherian Archive, so unless you're prepared to run that multiple times it's basically a DLC only endeavour.along with the heist, but at least it's only 2 this time. There were 4 tthe last time Stone Atros appeared.

Works PERFECTLY!! Thank you so much for this advice, it's worth its weight in gold!

Found Miregaunts in Murkmire, and just do light attacks so it keeps spawning the totems.

You can find them at High Isle volcanic vents. I just discovered this recently. Usually enough at one vent.

@thedocbwarren I kindly recommend reading the tips above in the thread.. You do not need to go to a group dungeon to complete this one.

I think they may have recently "fixed" the daily endeavor for killing giants, which could be completed by fighting Big Ozur, the big ogre boss in Reaper's March. He periodically summons molten pillars during the fight, and it turned out that destroying a molten pillar counted as killing a giant, so it was possible to complete the endeavor by destroying the molten pillars if players did not burn him down too quickly. But I went to fight him the other day when we had the "kill giants" endeavor, and it seemed like destroying the molten pillars no longer counts as killing giants. I'm not 100% sure, though, because another player was in the process of fighting Big Ozur when I arrived, and the other player essentially burned him down before I could do enough damage to him to get any credit for killing him. But I did destroy one of the molten pillars before Big Ozur melted, and it didn't seem to count for the endeavor.

So if it turns out that I'm correct that they "fixed" the "kill giants" endeavor so that destroying Big Ozur's molten pillars doesn't count toward the endeavor anymore, it's possible they may decide to "fix" the "stone atronachs" endeavor in the same manner by making it so the stone totems summoned by miregaunts are no longer counted for that endeavor. But apparently it works for now, so here's hoping it stays that way.

I made a large group at the murkmire world boss, and even though I only hit 2 totems on my own, I got credit for 4, so I advice grouping up if there's several people looking to kill stone atros at one site, to share kill credit.

There are plenty of other miregaunts in Murkmire besides the world boss. The trick is to focus on the pillars and not the miregaunt, so if you regularly run with a companion out you might want to dismiss them for this. I got the requisite number of pillars off a single miregaunt in Vakka-Bok (one of two temples in Root Whisper Village), but there are multiple patrolling that area.

Regarding the challenge of lots of players competing at the Murkmire WB, healing is great since you get credit for kills by allies you are healing. My healer literally just spams heals over time and gets credit for the totems killed by others. A win-win arrangement since she is not contributing to the excessive dps that results from too many players.

If you have access to the Black Gem Foundry dungeon, there's plenty of them. Even before reaching the first boss there's at least 5. You can go in on normal mode, run from pack of mobs to pack of mobs, ignoring everything and only killing the small stone atronachs.
