PC NA Servers Lagging

I'm in central US and my ping is normally sits at 80ms, but today it's at 140ms, spiking frequently to 250 ~ 999+ms.

So I tested playing on PC EU, and my ping was 130ms with no lag spikes. Significantly better than PC NA servers even though I live in NA...

I'm also experiencing issues where my light attacks/abilities fail to cast on PC NA, but this does not happen on PC EU.

Is anyone else having these issues playing on PC NA servers today?

Are you referring to ping or latency?

Latency is a network measurement of data travel time, while ping is a network utility (a tool) that measures this latency.

In common usage, people often use the terms interchangeably, referring to "ping" as the round-trip time for a data packet to travel from your computer to a server and back.

    So... Ping!

It is my understanding that latency measures one-way signal and Ping measure the round trip of the signal.
I don't measure ping while gaming.

My latency is reported as a feature in game. That latency has, in the past, ping-ponged about.
    Currently 08/23/25
Stormhaven = 198 -> 100 I logged in near the undaunted group, it went down when I moved away from other players.
Blackwood = 70 -> 49 Logged in near town with NPC and no visible players. Move to a location with only one NPC.
Coldharbor = 60 --> 60 Logged in near the waysrhine. moved to a location near a wall

My latency averages 60 so only Stormhaven was unusual.
My internet speed is about 940 Mbps in either direction (download and upload)
    I have zero mods / add-ons.
I have a wired connection to the internet but share it with another gamer.

Wednesday was crazy bad for everyone in my group. No packetloss or anything like that on my side - it all seemed to be server wide.

Well several hours later, the ping is finally not as bad. Around 100 ~ 130ms, no massive spikes, combat metrics says desync is 130 ~ 150 ms.

It's playable at least... No communications from ZOS all day though, big surprise.
