Easy way to track missing motif pages?

How can you get a quick overview without having to look up every piece in collections individually?
Lore library would be good but for some reason this is only character specific.

If you're on PC, you might try the Character Knowledge add-on. Mousing over a motif chapter will tell you which of you characters have or have not learned it. The tooltip is screen space limited for many motifs (no idea why - could just be something I've overlooked in settings), so it works more consistently if you're only tracking for two or three characters rather than a dozen.
I'm fresh out of outrage, but I could muster up some amused annoyance if required.

There's a similar addon for consoles "702's Craft Completionist List" (based on the Character Knowledge addon since it also installs a not fully functional version of that addon to act as a library).

If you can't use an add-on, the Journal > Lore Library gives you a complete list of motifs with a simple count (x/14) which you can then click on to see the specifics. I find it easier than going through Collections. Unfortunately, that means gong through character by character...

Lore library is character specific because that’s how the game tracks motif knowledge (i.e. the ability to craft that motif), which is character specific. That’s also how the game knows how much of a bonus to give to that character’s chances to get master writs. Now that style master achievements are account wide, the game isn’t able to use achievements for either of those purposes.

Speaking of which, in addition to the above suggestions, you can search achievements for motifs. “Style Master” should filter for most of them, if not all. At least you can see the whole motif at a glance and whether at least one character on the account has learned each part.

I cannot recommend this add-on enough, and it works with other add-ons. I track all my motifs, recipes, furnishing plans, events, and holiday collectibles with it and even more.

    But how does that help?
I don't really care which character can craft which motif - via outfit system everyone has access to anything anyway - I want to quickly and easily see which pieces of a specific motif im still missing - account wide (For example for battleground motifs etc.)

You could try the MotifHelper addon. You have to type the command in chat, and it creates a window which lists how many pages for each motif you have yet to collect, and when you hover over the motifs in that window it shows you exactly which pages you still need.

Craftstore is the bests IMO. Lets you see per character, can cycle through them all if you require.

On PC, I use Craft Store, but I have one character that's my assigned "Motif Learner", so all I have to do is set Craft Store to look for that and unknown motifs are highlighted no matter what char I'm on, and you can see it in the Craft Store Motif window as well.

When you hover the mouse over any motif, the tooltip for that item appears. The add-on adds to the tool tip a section that lists which characters know that particular motif (green - known, red - not known). Furthermore, there is an added section that lists all the motifs available for that style and indicates which ones are known (green - known, red - not known). And there is a section that indicates which characters completely know all chapters for the motif.

What I find helpful is to use Awesome Guild Store at the trader and setup a search filter for the motif I am looking for and select the unknown option. That way when I select that specific search filter at guild traders, it will list only the ones that I still need.

That said, Trait Buddy addon has as one of its tabs a section that lists every motif in the game. And it can be expanded to show the individual motif chapters. If the current character knows it, it will have a green check mark. If another character knows it, it will have a yellow check mark. If no characters know it, it will have a red x.

Perhaps a combination of the three addons will be helpful for you.

The tooltip for Character Knowledge lists which characters can learn that motif ("Can be learned by:"), so if every character's name is on that list, then no one knows that chapter. Again, not a huge help if you're running more than a handful of characters (I have issues counting to eight some days), but still more workable than going character by character and looking at lore books in the journal.

For the handful of characters that will show details in the tooltip, every chapter is listed (axes, belts, bows, etc.). If it's highlighted, then the character knows it, if it's grayed out, then they don't.
