just a quick question

hi i am new to ESO and was wondering does adding points into stamina increase the amount of damage you do with your normal hits or only the skills that use stamina and if it does how many points does it take before you start doing more damage with your attacks? though i would ask before i sink loads of points into it

Have a look as ESO Unraveled On Youtube. It doesn't answer all, but quite a few questions.
If you can be anything, be kind.

Before sinking points into certain attributes, look at the skills you have and the skills you plan to use and see which one pops up the most.

That's going to be the attribute you'll want to put those points into.

Everything else use armor type, food, mundas stones, and enchantments.

Stamina determines how many attacks you can execute in quick succession, for those attacks that use stamina. The link that @rev posted is a good place to start but the calculation is pretty straightforward - look at your character stats and at the attacks you have equipped as it is a pretty linear equation.

If you're a magic user, I would suggest that you pile your resources into health and magic as you'll probably find that a more useful way to go. If you're a tank, balance health and stamina instead.

I'm a sorcerer, but I use some heavy armour and swap out my destro staff with a sword and shield (you can do this from level 15). For me, I don't intend to go beyond a stamina score of 10. All of my points have been ploughed into magic and health.

    Hope this helps.
