Move ESO from C Drive to D Drive on Steam

Hi, I play ESO on Steam and would like to move the game from the C drive to the D drive.
The on-line help resources I found for Steam say to use the Steam/Downloads/Steam Library folders but that is not showing up under Downloads.
Does anyone have current/verified instructions for moving the game from C drive to D drive? And assuming that can work, instructions for moving my ESO addons too? Thanks!

I did that but uninstalled and installed to the new drive, didnt move them. I believe your game and addon settings are saved to another location so arent related to the location of your game files. But if you want to make sure, i believe steam saves ESO in steamapps/common/Zenimax, may not be the exact naming, but something similar to that. I would check if there is an addons folder there and copy everything to somewhere else before uninstalling just to be sure, otherwise there is also another ESO save folder, somewhere in C:/users/{username}/... But cant remember the exact path right now. That folder stays there, no matter how many times you uninstall and reinstall the game. This is probably where your settings are saved.

I am sure about one thing though, that uninstalling and reinstalling ESO doesnt reset your settings, because i do that quite frequently :D

I also recently had to move my game from my SSD to my HHD as my SSD was no longer big enough.

I too went down the uninstall/reinstall route it was just the easiest for me, my addons stayed untouched during this and still work perfectly but this was not involving Steam.

Same. Theres no option in steam to move the files so I had to uninstall/reinstall to get it on my new game drive.

You have to manually select to install into D Drive. Myself I put Steam and all the Steam games on my D Drive.

You can install Steam in any drive, when installing a new game you get to choose which drive you want to install it.

Not 100% sure about ESO specifically but with Steam it's really easy to move games around. You just specify steam libraries to different drives and move your stuff around from Steam menus.

I've always installed ESO with official launcher, with it it's really easy to move to a different location (or another pc) if you know Windows basics.

Oh and yes your addons are always installed in your My Documents folder (unless you haven't fiddled with symlinks) so you don't need to do anything to them. Same with ESO config files.

Hi, everyone, I appreciate the input.
I've been getting a fair amount of conflicting information on this subject so I'll keep searching as I want to be really confident of the steps before I attempt either moving the game or uninstalling/reinstalling it.
    Thanks!

I would also recommend using the uninstall/reinstall method, just to be certain that everything is pointing to the correct new location in Steam.

But as far as where Steam keeps the game's files, you might be able to go to the game's Settings (in your Steam library, not in the game itself) and select Manage, Show Folder-- I'm not at my computer, so I can't give you the correct options, but that is the general idea. That probably won't show you where everything is stored-- I'm guessing there might be more than one folder you'll need to move, in different locations-- but it would be a place to start.

Ive got steam on my c drive and my games split between my old caviar black and my new ssd. So 2 different steam game install locations.

For other games theres an option to move them but eso specifically doesn't. Maybe because file size idk.

Never tried just using the eso launcher, I thought it had to go through steam because I bought it there.

May suggest you use mlink if there's no facility in steam to relocate the files you may need elevated command prompt.

I have also used this method to relocate game files installed by epic games.
