The Dark Elves see the coral as a gift from their living god, Vivec. He saved them, they say, in the Akaviri war.
Reesa/Walks-in-Ash about Vivec's Antlers

We have been severely lacking bollards. Severely. For years now. My friends in other Microsoft MMOs are so used to the bollard systems in their games that I could never convince them to join ESO. What will we fasten our ropes to in order to have a smooth and efficient experience at the docks? They would ask. How can it be "play your way" if you can't securely moor your vessel? And honestly, that really sunk my argument. Sad orc noise, the tiniest keyharp playing forlornly. But not anymore. Now we have dock bollards. A new day rises. Move over Microsoft, there's another MMO in town (that you also own).

    (Thank you for the post.)

Love the picture of the character on the anchor, it clearly has a lot more options for usage than I thought.

Is there a way to actually moor your boat to the bollard, though?

Well, we're getting mount swimming soon, that's progress. Maybe an upcoming Season of Boating? Knot skill line. Time to sail to Winterhold through the Sea of Ghosts.

I was trying to do a rope bannister to run stairs up the rocks on the Ayleid ruins in Gold Coast (Verysawotsit or something) and realised quite quickly that ESO has a real shortage of extended ropes. There are some short lengths (in the crown store, naturally) but we really need a selection.

Not really but we do have the coiled and tidy mooring lines to lay around near the bollards to try and make folks believe it could be done.

More importantly why don't we have scale appropriate anchors? These give me that sinking feeling every time I pull them onboard the boat.
