Is there a bug with the forum ?

Hello everyone !

Just a quick question about the forum categories, I think I have a bug, or a problem, I have no idea.
The thing is, I'm currently struggling with housing in the Rift Museum Home, and I wanted to create a new topic to ask for advice and suggestions in the Housing category but I'm apparently unable to do so. The Housing part of the forum has been moved to Game Systems, but I can't create a new thread there, there's no button or function for that (not that I can't find, at least).

Any idea or information about that ? Thanks !

edit : nevermind, I hadn't noticed that I was reading the old Housing part of the forum, at the top of the threads list, where it's written "Tales of Tribute / Crafting / Housing".
The new part of the forum right below is perfectly usable.

The Housing forum section was integrated into what is now the "Game Systems" section.
The old Housing section is now read-only, accessed from one of three links at the top of the Game Systems section.
However, you *can* create threads in Game Systems.

This was done sometime last year (2024).

Yeah, it took me some time but I finally noticed xD
What first puzzled me was the fact that I saw the Housing category on the main page of the forum, this very evening, which conflicts with what you're saying about the change made last year. I know I haven't dreamt it, it was right besides the old Crafting category (which hasn't been deleted from the main page).

Go to Game Systems > Click on Housing then you should see a "new discussion" button top left.

Not at all, precisely because you're referring to the old part of the forum, now on read-only, as Grizzbeorn has said right before you.

I don't know what you saw, but t he Housing section has been inside Game Ssystems for quite a while now.

I saw a direct link/box to the old Housing section, on the forums main page, beside the link/box to the old Crafting section that still is on the forum main page (and, if we think logically, should be deleted too), in the General category, on top of the main forum page.

Again : no.
As Grizzbeorn said, you're referring to the old Housing section and it's now on read-only. It's impossible to create new threads there.

Can somebody in the moderation team delete this tread please ?
I got the informations I needed and it's not relevant anymore ! Thanks !

I can see your post in housing. However, when I go to Game Systems > Housing, I do NOT see a "New Discussion" button on the page:

What browser are you using? Seems like there might indeed be a bug...

Report/Flag your OP and ask to have the thread closed; best way for them to see your request.

They need to rename the old forums to something like Housing - Read Only, or Archived Housing - Read Only, to make it clear that they are no longer current.
