Whats going on with marketing as of late?

Usually you get 1 marketing email every 2 weeks or so, now its nearly 1 a day? ? ?

Marketing emails can be toggled off for those that don't want to receive them.

Unfortunately, we were recently told to turn 'em back on if we wanted to participate in the vengeance survey. Well, this is why a lot of us probably have them turned off.

Would be nice if there was a different setting for surveys and for marketing emails.

It's been a lot this week because there's some duplicate info and QuakeCon being communicated out. Otherwise, I've appreciated the increase to 1-2 per month in the hopes that it draws in returning players.

yes of course but here is why i started the topic

If i get annoyed by the frequency of the marketing emails - so will a lot of other people - its probably not the intention of zos to have fewer people to sign up for these updates but more so it makes sense to let them know when they breach the point of annoyance.

Personally, I have all non-business stuff associated with a different email that I only check when I feel like it, instead of having it send me every notification. But if not for that, I could see how that might get annoying lol, just like the VOTE NOW, DONATE NOW, THIS POLITICIAN DID THIS, etc texts, robocalls, and emails.

lol i think thats an exclusive American feature you dont get those in Europe, at least not here

Email marketing notifications are so... 1990s.

I can't remember the last time I got a marketing email that even read, let alone dropped everything to run and buy something.

I may have my marketing preferences here on, or off. I don't know, and don't care, since that stuff does not reach me.
