I know I’m a bit behind in questing zone stories, but I’m finally working on The Reach Zone Story. The first of three things I want to report/question/discuss is in the quest A Feast of Souls, the first time you meet up with Arana this quest, there is a grammatical typo in your conversation prior to her sending you to get the keystone. I forgot to make note of it prior to moving on, but it was in the text from the player to her. It was something simple, like an extra word that shouldn’t be there. If you look over the text script I’m sure you’ll catch it.
The second thing to question is if you look at the map, the key on the left says there are 6 stories. I just completed all 6, so I expected the zone to be complete. It started a seventh story quest called The End of Eternity. I did a quick google and found that after you finish the six quests there are three more story quests, the Unofficial Elder Scrolls Wiki page lists them as epilogue quests. I’m not complaining, I love good story telling and after quest 6 I felt like there was more to tell, so happy to keep going. But I feel like either the map key should either say 9 instead of 6 quests (the easier option), OR a new symbol for epilogue quest and a new category on the map key so players know how much they truly have to go for map/story completion. Also, I’ve not completed all of the DLC and Chapter zone stories in other zones, so if this is a common theme in other zones I haven’t found yet, just assume my comments apply to those zones as well haha.
The third and final thing I’d like to discuss is The Reach Points of Interest category on the map key. I can’t say I’ve found this to be true in other DLC/Chapter zones, but as previously stated, I haven’t done them all. Maybe there are other zones with the same scenario? Either way, I’ve only managed to finish 16 of 17. My missing one is “Arena: Vateshran Hollows.” So, some PoI mark off as complete when you simply discover the location. Some when you do their associated quest. I’ve discovered it, and I’ve done the first quest that a quest giver gives out outside Marcarth so you can find the arena. I have not completed the actual arena. I’ve taken the quest, done all three wings, and gotten to the final boss. I’m simply not good enough to finish it, but that’s a “me problem” I hope to overcome with more practice, maybe some skill swapping. Either way, I feel like since other zones with arenas that the arena is not associated with the PoI. My OCD is screaming at me to complete the map, but I can’t since I can’t beat the arena. I feel like maybe the arena should either not be a PoI, its own category, or the original quest to find the location should mark it as complete before taking the actual arena quest. (Unless of course this is a glitch and it’s supposed to be marked as complete already by doing this or discovering it.)
