Fatecarver makes PvE DPS so boring now with subclassing

As someone that plays only PvE and only plays as DPS, subclassing has made it soooo boring to the point I wish I didnt own the class lol. I know I can just not use the skill but why would anyone choose any other spammable when this one skill can be used at range, hit multiple targets, costs almost no resources, gives me a damage shield and easier to use then having any other spammable especially since you don’t need to light attack in between your attacks. Every trial and dungeon you go into all you see are beams lol.

To be honest this skill needs to be nerfed or every other spammable skill needs to be heavily buffed. I also think they need to add a timer to generate crux so people can’t beam so often. For example put like a 6 second timer on crux generation and instead of skills like the tentacle arms generating crux, it just reduces the cooldown of generating crux.

What are your thoughts on PvE DPS since subclassing ?

I think just let people play the way they want to. I don't see how other people wanting to use beams "ruins or degrades" your experience. If you don't want to use it, don't.

Are you in some demanding prog group?

If not, run something that you enjoy instead. With subclassing, there are tons of ways to reach a basic 100k, which, it can never be said enough, is wildly more damage than you'll ever need to do anything except exotic prog achieves.

if you do not enjoy using Fatecarver then do not use it.

i like it and it is a fun skill to me. so i hope other skills simply get buffed.
Nerfing skills does not make the game more fun, for me at least.

Enough nerfs. Other classes class skill lines should be brought up to the standard set by arcanist. Maybe *then* beam can be adjusted reasonably. We all know that's not how zos does things though.

Ahh ESO forums... Someone points out a big problem with the game and the comments tell you to just ignore the problem entirely as if that would solve it.

Azureblight was absolutely a band-aid solution for other classes to keep up with the beam and it was stupid that we had to rely entirely on one set to do decent AoE damage, but now we don't even have that band-aid. Before the nerf the set was doing around 50k dps, now ZoS has to figure out a way to give that 50k back to non beaming builds just for them to even have a chance at competing with the beam.
The problem with buffing other classes is that arcanist has access to those same exact skills, so if they buff long AoE dots from other classes, arcanist with a beam could use those exact same skills and we would be in this same position once again. The only real solution, is to buff AoE semi spammables, such as blastbones and burning talons, because you can't really use those skills effectively while beaming. But these buffs would have to be absolutely massive, and knowing ZoS that's not going to happen because it doesn't align with the spreadsheets.

Last patch there was some actual class diversity, sure arcanist was still the best option for vast majority of players, but if you knew what you were doing, you could hold your weight on other classes as well. Now, it's just not the case. We have taken like 10 steps back right back to the meta we had after the release of arcanist. I just really hope it doesn't take them 2 years to fix this mess only to screw it up again.

Yup people saying ignore it or use a different skill as if I didnt already know I can do that and even said I know I can do that, but why would I do that if fatecarver is the strongest, can be used at range, hits multiple targets and provides a damage shield lol there is no spammable to provides any upside over fatecarver in anything.

Its going to be hard to fix where the game is at for sure cause you are right, if you buff passives or some skills from other lines it can still be used with fatecarver builds so it really does nothing. Every spammable needs a huge buff to be honest to be able to compete and to create build diversity.
