negated blastbones

I noticed that you can cast blighted blastbones (stam skill) while in a negate field, but it will not jump. Is that because the jump is considered a spell (and silenced) or because the blastbones is an NPC who gets stunned? Or is there a third answer I didn't think of?

It's similar to sorc pets - an NPC which can get stunned.

I guess since the base skill used to cost mag, it made sense at the time to disable blastbones in a negate. There are 2 things zos really doesn't care about : pvp and necro... so it's probably why the stam morph still behaves as stalking bb in a negate

The resource cost only affects whether or not you can cast the ability not what the ability does when it occurs within a negate

The pet is getting stunned because it's not a player and so the negate stun affect applies.

Similar to how ground cast effects are removed whether or not they cost stam.

It my friend and my Opinion

We know some pet skill work like this:we summon pet>pet cast skill>and maybe they skill is cost mag so got negate
it why in cmx addon and log, some pet skill have other skill name in dmg part ,night blade Dark Shade skill summon a pet name*Gloom Wraiths*and use his 2 skill corrosive slash and corrosive flurry
they are a single dmg skill and a aoe skill
and when zos change this skill alway do aoe(U42),we never see them anymore
new skill name is corrosive drain
I think problem in pet cast skill have bug, like cost mag or something
So you summon bb in negate>they can’t work
summon bb negate outside>they can cast skill>walk in negate and jump>bomb

    @Izanagi.Xiiib16_ESO

    That's something I genuinely didn't know.
    Thanks.

Not entirely surprised to hear that, given that the 5 pet limit that was tested on PTS a while back sometimes prevented sorc/necro multiclass builds from casting necro skills , in addition to messing with corpse generation.

With that limit reverted to 10, I'm wondering if adding blastbones to a pet build could cause it to generate some particularly silly damage numbers.

Kinda wish we still had the mag morph now.

    Sort of.

Negate stuns NPCs on cast, but if you summon a Blastbones in a negate after it's been cast, it doesn't detonate because Blastbones exploding is a spell that Blastbones casts called "Blighted Blastbones Detonation".

Since it's an NPC, the Negate ultimate will stun it, which makes sense.

The real issue is that Necromancer cannot summon their summons reliably because of the bugged pet limits they placed in the game in U46, that is STILL bugged in the current U47 PTS that has like one more patch left before it hits live, and there hasn't been a single word from ZOS or the devs about it since June 2nd, over two months ago...

It's almost 2026 and Blastbones is still somehow considered to be an NPC despite devs literally showing us the way with the change made to Mad Tinkerer.

Good for gameplay. Good for performance. Do it now.

Honestly, if it meant the Necromancer class could actually use their summons instead of this Failed to summon combat pet limit reached nonsense, I wouldn't mind my blastbones losing their ability to block spells from other players and being converted to non-NPCs.
