I mean, there have occasionally been some official contests where one could submit art for a chance to win in-game prizes. As like one-off promotions. Certainly not as some sort of regular thing.

Wouldn't that kinda fall under bribery in that case?

if your goal is to get gifts then i will guess the answer is No.

you can always make Elder Scrolls art, but i think it is unwise to do it only to get gifts.

It would give an unfair advantage to players with artistic talent to be given gifts from Devs for creating unsolicited artwork.

Not sure what's exactly is unfair advantage here if the contests are held amongst people who do draw and have "talent" or what you want or call that.

But to the question it's not a consistent thing here, there was a couple but that's not like for example PoE 1 ones that are being held each an every season.

How so? What about the housing contests? Those involve a modicum of artistic talent. And in a game where virtually every reward is cosmetic, I fail to see what kind of advantage is to be had.

That being said. An art incentive like the OP is asking for is pretty much moot today anyway. The internet is flooded with AI generated images being passed off as original artwork. Reddit is flooded with them in pretty much every gaming subreddit.

Contests are organized events with specific criteria that are open to all players to participate in if they choose, with set prizes already established. That is not the same thing as a player receiving gifts from the Devs for creating unsolicited works on their own.

I've decorated over 50 houses, but I should not receive gifts from the Devs for any of them outside of an organized housing contest.

If for any reason ZOS were to implement an incentive for player contributed artwork, then that would no longer be considered unsolicited work. And even if for whatever reason, Joe ZOS_Employee decides to arbitrarily hand out an in game reward to some rando player that contributed some unsolicited work.. what's it to you? Why would you care?

And I still fail to see any kind of "unfair advantage".

At this moment there is no incentive for player contributed artwork, or gifts from the Devs for unsolicited art.

You can always sell commissions. For example, rpers often collect artwork of their characters. You obviously cannot trade anything that's not an ingame item for ingame goods, but nobody is stopping you using money from commissions/patreon to buy some crowns.
