Should PvP be removed from the game?

To be fair, these threads seem to actually be coming from displeased PvPers, not PvErs who hate PvP.
But also if you’re so unhappy with PvP as a PvPer then maybe try a different game and check in every so often to see if ZOS has made PvP any better yet.

While few complains might come from displeased PvPers most threads come from PvEers.
PvEr like to blame every change/nerf they do not understand on PvP even when ZOS not named PvP or explicit named PvE as reason, no PvPer asked for this nerf and/or it could have been changed in a way effecting only PvP but not PvE rather than accepting that some changes are done arbitrary or because ZOS likes it that way.

Maybe I should have been more specific, I meant threads specifically like this one where it’s a stance of “pvp is so bad, you should just remove it from the game” not general pvp hate. I just find it silly when people respond as if the OP is a pvp-hating pver when it very much seems theyre a pvp player ahaha (and in this case, OP IS a pvp player!).

See, I disagree here, I think it should be more accessible, more incorporated into the game. In addition to Cyrodil and Battlegrounds I'd like to see Arenas, kind of like the Kvatch Arena in Gold Coast, set up in several capitol cities where anyone can walk in and join a PvP free for all. Say 20 people at a time, 10 deaths and you're out with a 30 minute cooldown before re-entering, booted after an hour w/cool down to let other people in kind of thing...just thinking out loud here, but the point would be to get PvP out in the open in front of the gen pop. No groups, every man for himself with achievements/rewards for say, 5-10-20 kills...or surviving longer than 30 seconds 😃

While I'm wish listing things that will never happen I'd like to be able to toggle PvP in the open world on and off. If you're "On" you and other "On" players could bring the war to the streets w/out needing to agree to duel. One would of course be able to be "Off" to remain unbothered by those mean PvPers out to ruin your day.

Point here, is so many PvEers aren't exposed to PvP, going into PvP is intimidating for many that they never try it. Maybe, if it was out in the open a little more more people would get into it.

And the rewards should be better. I'm talking rare fragment drops, like PvP specific notable houses which you need say 10 fragments to acquire. Maybe two houses, one acquired through battlegrounds, one in Cyro. Or fragments for rare masks, gold furnishing leads that aren't a statue of Alessia (I have 10 of those make with some new stuff already) Im suggesting fragments to keep people coming back, these are the kind of rewards you should have to work for. If people could earn houses or other truly worthwhile rewards population would never be an issue again.

Anyway, you all get the idea. Put PvP out there in the world if you want the world to get interested in PvP. Just sayin.

they should just remove MMR for BGs
would probably lead to more equal fights

if i havent played a char for a while i have like 20+ matches where my I completly dominate cause the game assumes of my mmr that i am a newbie as well .... before getting some 50/50 ratio of equal and one sided games

the only people caring about mmr - are people doing pre-made matches.
The should just give end game players - who enjoy pre-made 4vs4 or 6vs6 etc an option to "Duel" against another group. like the normal duel option; just with another option for the group leader to also partake in a group duel.
Would actually also be nice for all the people who have duel arenas in the houses.

i don't get why that would be so hard to implement ... doesnt need maps etc no quueing no matches not starting because someone left / didnt accept .. just give us a group duel option in the fast wheel menu

You do realise that PvP players ALSO pay a lot of money on crowns and chapters? I, for instance, have spent more than 10k dollars over the years on this game. Do you think that ZOS would appreciate losing a customer that spends this much money on ESO because someone doesn't like PvP?

Ya, the PvE mains too often assume only PvE matters and they're the only ones spending money on the game. But the fact is that it's the hard core PvP crowd that tends to spend the most on the game, there just aren't as many PvP mains as there are PvE mains. I'd guess the average PvE player spends about 10% of what the average PvP player's spent on the game, but that's just a guess of course.
