Appearance Customisation Overhaul

I recently made another post about Khajiit fur/body markings and it got me thinking about broader alterations. This is just an idea, which may or may not even be possible, that would allow for much greater personalisation of a character. For instance allowing scars and markings, horns and beards, head markings and glowing eyes. All of these combinations are currently not available due to limited categories.
So here I'll show an idea of how I wish the appearance menu looked (specifically in the collectibles tab on an existing character, not during character creation).

I wouldn’t mind more customization options and more categories as long as it didn’t change my character’s existing look, just added more choices. I’ll never forget the time that Dark Age of Camelot turned all of our existing characters into cartoons in an effort to upgrade them by changing everything. I had mostly stopped playing by then, but I went back when I heard about the change and was horrified with what it did to my existing characters. I never signed on again after that.

Customization is not free. It comes with a performance cost. The game already suffers from asset management stutter. It has more than enough customization. This isn't the sims online. It is an action rpg. It needs to be performant.
