Argonian Houseboat - no access to the roof

The argonian houseboat is equipped with a ladder leading to the roof of the boat. But you cannot use the ladder to go up.

Is this intended or a bug ?

I think they intent it to be this way, but a lot of people have made comments on this (at least in game).

I'm hoping that if enough people put in tickets that maybe they'll reconsider the design and angle the ladder so it's actually climbable.

Never know, maybe it will be changed.

They have a strong policy of not changing content thats gone to the Live servers unless its breaking the game.

But why go to the trouble to design it that way? Did they run out of time to finish it?

Man it would be so awesome if they expanded the game to the ocean with isable boats and underwater content, diving etc even knowing this will never happen (but the again we do get swimming mounts...and boats are essentially mounts...)

I’m currently using the Marshwood ramp for access whilst I decorate. You can even walk up the lower section which has no steps but I’m still trying to think of a way to integrate it whilst being functional.

I took a screenshot of the houseboat with that same ramp next to the ladder and attached it to the ticket I submitted.
Just wanted to show just how small of a change would be needed to make the ladder usable.

People mentioned this in PTS as well, it's just strange that they would make it like this knowing that most people would want to get on the roof.

I know there is a 99.999% it will not be changed, especially since it made it to live this way, but can always hope.

The angle of the boat houses ladder versus the angle required for us to walk upwards. Made a picture from the side. We got so close.

There's a few housing related things recently I've been disappointed by. The house boat but really big for me was the steam baths house. So many invisible walls so close to the house. When you look at something like the lighthouse for instance, you can go everywhere even out to all the little shipwrecks. Such a shame.

It was kind of a pain to get the Murkmire Ramp in a not-terrible-looking position that was traversable, but I eventually got it.

I noticed the Steam Bath walls as well. One positive thing though is that you can build pretty far into the sea at the entrance of the house.
