Possibility to combine parts of costumes with other motifs.

Would you like the ability to combine costume parts with other crafting motifs? This would give you even more customization options. Dresses probably won't be able to be combined, but all other costumes should be no problem.

i imagine this would require Costumes be turned into Outfit Styles, but that would be awesome to me as well

The most obvious one is the integrated hoods, hats or helmets who could be re sold as headgear.
Else most of the dresses could be used as robes, some others could not really be divided up but look at npc in the original game and Craglorn. The drunk khajiit fence in Bekart outlaw refuge use an robe bottom and another body piece.
Grinding just make you go in circles.
Asking ZoS for nerfs is as stupid as asking for close air support from the death star.

    I agree, it's a good idea.
I've bought a costume for my Breton templar, the Jarl's Justice Formal Frock, but actually I don't wear it cause I'm really not fan of the sleeves - too large and puffy. I wish it was possible to change that for thin gloves ^^

    Yes, but...

A lot of costumes don't divide easily into parts that are compatible with outfits. An example is the thigh-length boots in the Holiday in Balmora, and Corseted Riding Outfit. While I would like them to be an option, all other footwear stops below the knee.

There are parts like bandoliers, backpacks, and a few others that simply don't fall into any existing slot, and would have to become some kind of adornment.

There are costumes that are a combination of motifs.
So making individual parts of such costume available as single outfit style would mean making several motif pages redundant.

I think it would be easy to let us at least use motif helmets, since we already have an option to hide it.

There could be an option to hide costume helmets, along with the hide helmet option. That way you could choose between no helmet and the motif helmet of your choice.

(I really would like to pair heavy order of the hour helmet with the emperors regalia costume.)
