Bring back first person mount riding!

I think, as do many others I've spoke with in-game, that bringing back first person Mount riding, seated-view, and basically first-person viewing at any time would be great. If you're like some of us that really like the immersive feel, you may play a lot in first person and like to treat the game like you did playing the older console games. I love to get in my zone and explore, take my time, and may do so for hours on end! I'm not one of the speed-racing, rush to end content, skip-the-lore kind of players lol. I hope I'm posting in the right place. ':D

I'll offer the caveat that ESO is absolutely not designed for playing in first person, despite it being an option.

However, I definitely agree that first person is best of immersion, and do play all of my standard TES games in first (in addition to even dumber things like making sure I eat every day, sleep at night, and walk everywhere since running would tire me out). ESO, as an MMO, is a lot harder to play in first person since a lot of effects that need to be seen during fights are absolutely not visible in first.

But, addons are here to the rescue. The Unlimited Camera Zoom addon does exactly this, and is one of my really important screenshot addons.

Nice! That is pretty cool. I don't use any add-ons, and even with skill timers and certain combat-settings, I realize it's still really tricky as an MMO to play in First-Person, but that just makes it more of a challenge. It also takes me further into this topic, because I think it would be cool if they could make it to where you could see certain effects better in first person, along with momento's and so on. If I'm in a party I'll play in third on more difficult combat or bosses as a courtesy. With that said, If I'm soloing an arena style instance or even just soloing a group dungeon, I'll try doing more in first-person for a challenge and treat it like a training excercise! Everyone's entitled to their opinion, but mine is shared by many others I meet, and that is that ESO is a BETTER MMO BECAUSE it can be played in first-person! Man, I didn't know the forums got feedback this quick. Kind of coooolllll. c: Thanks for your input! Hopefully more people will drop in.

There is also a specific simple addon on esoui for first person ridding; "immersive horse riding".

Yes and if you look above the first person to respond has screenshot of an add-on that does something simliar! Alas, I playout without add-ons. My hopes is that they will make it an option for those of us who want to immerse ourselves in such a manner as part of the regular game.

I have many amazing ideas actually, but now that I finally got the forums and registration figured out and handled... I'm sure I'll ONLY remember them when I'm far from home and/ or a computer hehe....

None of the addons works really. It is a simle thing to allow zooming into 0. Any programmer could do this in 5 mins. It is just a simple predefined number.
On the XBox its worse, because the SetSettings() function is not allowed there.

It seems this is a Bethesda issue... Oblivion and Skyrim are 1st person games and even there horses are forced 3rd person.

And...btw. this should also be when crafting. Its either 0 or >0 but not forced views. Say no to forced point of view

You could play other TES games that allow first-person riding view. Unfortunately, they rarely take these suggestions seriously and you're likely in for a long wait. Given the number of problems this game already has, I would prefer they work on current problems with the game rather than focus on quality-of-life improvements.
