How often do you Gift Crown Store Items?

There have been numerous threads lately of players requesting gifting be added to their accounts. This made me wonder just how often players find themselves gifting.

When I invite a new player to the game, I like to be able to gift them essentials like Any Race, Any Alliance (so we can play together, and it's better to get it earlier).

Other players gift me Crown Store items in exchange for gold a few times a year (ideally through guilds, but I've done zone chats if they can prove they're legit). If it was easier for players to gift Crown items, I think they would buy more Crowns to sell for gold like that.

I have never gifted but have bought crowns through our guild's crown exchange to obtain a few houses, so I do use gifting that way.

I occasionally sub on an alt account, I used to just use those crowns to buy stuff for my main. Since I have gifting on my main, I tried a couple of times to get it enabled on my alt without success.

Most of the time people are gifting to sell crowns for gold, which is allowed by the TOS. Rarely I see people posting to give friends or SO’s stuff.

Depends on if you’re a crown seller or not as I imagine that’s the biggest source of these requests

A couple times a year I like to send a gift on my closest ESO friends' birthdays.

I also sometimes gift things to my alt account (since I never buy crowns or eso plus on that account), so if that counts too.. then several times a year.

I send Birthday Presents occasionally, I also sometimes donate Crowns for Guild Auctions, so I don't make any gold but my Guilds do! 🙂

only bought from other players. every now and then they would do those promotions during events where you gift someone 4 event tickets and get a crown crate. that's the only time i have gifted anything. makes me wonder now how well that would go over with so many ppl locked out of gifting. maybe that's why we haven't seen that one in a while

I used to send gifts all the time, but I don't anymore. One of the main reasons is ZOS won't unlock gifting on my alt accounts despite being able to prove that I own them, so I just gave up on the crown store. It's also why I stopped subbing and buying crowns.

I gift more often than I spend crowns on myself, shy of crates, because I do love those cosmetics.

Typically if a new mount or costume or house comes out that I think really vibes with one of my core group or SO, I gift it. At least once a month I'll send random gifts to friends/guildies also, depending on how many crowns I have left while keeping to an even number.

I think I've gifted a total of maybe half a dozen items during my years of playing ESO, perhaps a few more, ranging from a few times a year to none.

I gift them from my primary account which has ESO+ to my second account which does not, and once or twice I've gifted something to my girlfriend.

I use Gifting to surprise my girlfriend from time to time, it’s a lot more fun than just getting on her Xbox and buying it.

I picked “once a week” as it’s simply the closest option, though it’s not often that frequent, just more than once a month.

I buy 21K crowns every month and sell them to guildmates. This is on PS/NA and I am certified seller there. I only sell to Guildmates though, never in Zone Chat.

I use the gold to buy crafting mats so I can craft for free (mostly Guildmates, though if I see someone almost CP160 in the wild, I’ll offer them free CP160 sets). I also use the gold to host trivia nights, and random guild chat trivia.

I would gift crown store items, but everyone I know is into housing.

We don't have enough item slots to place what we have in our homes as it is. I can't go gift someone a piece of decor furniture to place in their home as an actual surprise present when housing builders are stressed about every item we place down as it is

Only have gifted maybe... 3 or 4 times since beta. It's always to my spouse or another regular guildie who is in deperate need of something (usually those mount speed thingies because we are tired of them always behind beind crown

)

When I had ESO+ on both my accounts I would gift from my 2nd account to my main. I paid for a year at a time so gifted once a year.
I have paid gold for several crown exclusive houses, extra armory slots and from time to time some crates. Been a couple of years on the crates though.

I have gifted items from the crown store to my other account, such as a dlc or two, but I don't gift anymore because I can't and I never bothered to apply for the privilege.

I don't buy crowns. I don't use the crown store. I don't play for the cosmetics or housing and that's all that's in the crown store. On the rare occasions I've wanted something from the crown store I trade in game gold for it, not real money. Basically the only thing I've ever gotten from the crown store were the DLC's.

Oddly enough, I have crown gifting enabled on all three of my accounts, and I didn't have to beg to have it enabled. It just is. Go figure.

I will gift stuff to guildies if it's their birthday or if they don't have a specific dungeon pack we want to run and I have crowns available.
