Vengeance got a survey, so should Subclassing

@ZOS_Kevin - Just wondering if any consideration might be given to sending out a survey about subclassing similar to what was sent out after the first vengeance test (and I assume will be sent out again)?

It's one of the biggest changes to the game in years, if not since One Tamriel, and it really feels like it was done on a whim, to throw something out there asap to meet an artificial deadline. We're already seeing the tip of the iceberg with some of the balancing consequences in u47. Maybe it would make sense to gather some information from the playerbase, especially outside of the forums, about how they are using and engaging with subclassing; what's fun or not-fun about it; how players might like to see it improved or balanced going forward. And this would also allow zos to perhaps steer some of the questions and feedback toward things that are actually feasible and match their vision - and avoid the never-ending forum arguments and emotions that bog down subclassing discussions here and can make it difficult to provide useful feedback.

It's shocking to me when I think about the way subclassing was just thrown out there with little warning, and a short PTS cycle with little time to consider player feedback, when I compare it to the slow and deliberate approach being taken with vengeance testing.

Not sure what the benefits would be. Looking at the results from the last survey it's clear the survey is not even remotely close to being representative of what the PvP player base thinks. What's the point of a survey if it's biased or selectively reported so as to promote a predetermined standpoint?

subclassing did go out with little warning -- because zos delayed their big reveal event by 3 months

i'm not a fan of subclassing at all -- but i suppose i don't hate it. i just think it's unnecessary. and i feel that we'll never get a new class. maybe we will, but i feel it's far less likely

i'm way less of a fan of hybridization. every opportunity i get to say that, i do!

This feature is already live, there's no point. Even highly unpopular ones are still on and will be there despite virtually absent community or engagement, this one is forced on many types of players and is pretty popular with some for various reasons, obviously it's here to stay no matter we like it or not.

I did not in any way suggest that they should get rid of subclassing. But rather an avenue to generate ideas or start some conversations about how it might evolve in the future, outside of the 20-30 people who repeat themselves all day on the forums.

Anyway, I don't actually expect to get much of a response or for them to do anything. But i thought it was a little more productive of an idea than repeating the same complaints and arguments for the 100th time, or throwing my hands in the air and saying "I give up!" I mean I may eventually do the latter, but at that point I won't be here anyway.
