Something unusual I encountered today in IC

Not sure if this is the case with all pets but the warden bear ignores the invulnerability in Trophy Vaults.

The bear will aggro and damage you and even though you can at that point engage it (I could LA and cast crushing shock on it) if is the Eternal Guardian it will just respawn and aggro again.

The player in the Trophy Vault was having a grand old time with this glitch.

Any remote chance that it might be patched? or is just another 'this is how things are' kind of situtation?

All I could do - because I could not actively heal myself - was leave. If I was a bit pettier I would have come back with a warden and play the little game two ways alas I CBA.

Eternal Guardian morph auto-res'es 1x within 60 seconds — gotta kill it again fast enough, then THEY would have had to leave to re-summon it

EDIT: Just to clarify, I'm kidding.
But if you would have, and they had actually left to re-summon it, then came back in, that would've been a solid case of exploitation of unintended game mechanics to grief another player, imho. At least with a screen capture recording.

This has been around as long as Warden and isn't likely to get patched. People use it sometimes to run off players that camp in the safetower at Bruma after their faction has lost control of it.

Not a new thing, and apparently true of any combat pets, such as Sorc's.

I wasn't aware of this, and was up on a safe balcony between districts waiting for more Daedroths to spawn to kill for the daily Arboretum quest, with my Clannfear by my side. An enemy player popped in from the adjacent district and I didn't realize that my Clannfear was attacking him; I thought he was safe from attack while on the balcony. Before I realized that my Clannfear was attacking him, he jumped down off of the balcony and started zapping my Clannfear with his destruction staff. I was surprised, because I thought that being on the balcony would prevent both my pet and myself from being attacked, but he killed my Clannfear.

Afterward, I came to the forums and mentioned the incident, at which point I was informed that combat pets can and will attack enemy players in the safe areas.

Now that I know, I dismiss my combat pets whenever I enter any of the safe areas (trophy vaults, set-crafting rooms, and safe balconies), because I don't want to be "that guy."

From what I gather from the thread is low hanging fruit and unlikely to be patched so... 'oh well' I guess? ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Can't the pets be called back to you in PvP in the same way a Companion can (Y + RMB, L3 + R3 + L2, LS + RS + LT)?
