Log in rewards - need remaking

Because ZOS set up a daily login rewards and if those rewards aren't 'rewarding enough' for people they won't feel like logging in?

If the game didn't have a daily login system? Fine, I would still play, though I likely wouldn't make the effort to log in every single day like I do, because some days I am just not feeling it, so just log in to get the reward and then log back off.

But, since ZOS has set up a daily log in reward, it is meant to get people to do exactly what I do: log on to get the reward. But, it is failing at its job if the rewards are considered so unrewarding that people just stop wanting to log on.

I play games that don't have daily login rewards and they are fun. I play games that DO have daily log in rewards and THEY are fun as well.

But, the point is still that if a game DOES decide to give out daily login rewards, at least in my opinion, then those rewards should feel like rewards and not just filler tossed into the mix until you get to the 'real' login reward of whatever is the highlight that month.

Most of the rewards we get now are nice, but absolutely aimed at newer players, as I feel most older players likely aren't going to have much use for research speedups or horse training books. Especially not at the rate we get them.

However, I know that there are people out there, not just new players, but older ones as well, that DO like the current rewards, which is why I just want the ability to turn them in for a crown gem or two. The people who use them still get them, while others who don't use them at least get something.

And since we seem to no longer be getting crown crates, it would be a nice way to allow people who cannot afford crown crates (or literally cannot buy them) to get some crown gems.

It's an incentive structure that often fails to incentivize. The perceived value of the rewards is *the only thing* that is important in this context.

If you're logging in anyway, how is it failing?

And at a deeper level, if you *need* this to login, should you be?

For me, if it ever got to a point that I needed this kind of nudge to play, it means it's time to find something else to do.

The login calendar system is good for new players, but for veterans, not very useful.

I have thousands of potions, dozens of research scrolls etc. I would like an option like in the leveling system, so either the default reward, either something else which won't affect the market. Maybe 2 vouchers, a survey map, or some other type of currency, like keys, fortunes, seals etc.

An other idea is to create a scroll like a blessing, so if you use that, you get a holiday buff for 2 hours (Pelinal, Zenithar, xp buff or 2x chance to catch rare fish/get lead etc)

im tired of getting all the potions (not the tri stats) and the drinks, ive never used them so they just get trashed, and the research scrolls are pointless as my main is grand master crafter and i dont have a need to do research on other characters - i could, but theres no point.

I understand why zos does it, but I can't imagine thinking they're not good enough, especially if a player is logging in anyway.

As was previously noted, an option to discard would be nice for the items I'm just going to destroy. In the bigger picture, I'd love just to disable daily rewards because I dislike the popup.

I like playing games, not getting free stuff from login rewards and gift boxes. I feel many players have lost sight of why they started playing games, especially one like this, in the first place.

I think those unhappy will always be unhappy because eventually the status quo won't feel rewarding and they'll want more. Adding more options wouldn't cover all bases and leave someone else feeling deserving of something that suits them.

Ironically, I agree with you and you're making good points. The daily rewards are completely free and it's up to players to accept them or not, to keep them or destroy them afterwards. I can speak only for myself but my personal point in this thread was to express the lack of satisfaction that I feel towards these daily rewards.

As I said in my post, the most surprising reward that I've obtained through this daily calendar was a full DLC and I still can remember the waw effect I felt that day, I just couldn't believe that they were casually giving us a DLC, just like that. Nowadays when I have a look at the daily rewards, I just feel "meh." Not "nice, it'll be very useful" or even "not bad, still great to have some." Just "meh".

The thing is, ZoS seems to be very eager to satisfy players, and in my opinion it begins right at login with the daily rewards. They represent a simple and easy way to play in a good mood or, on the contrary, to feel that people in charge don't want to grant us the slimest feel of contentment. I'm not asking for expensive and rare items everyday, but once or twice in a month, during the third or fourth week to actually reward the players' engagement to TESO, a good waw effect with a really enjoyable reward would be nice.

I'd be happy with a nominal amount of gold. The fact is, if I can't use it then it's worth nothing to me, so if I got some gold instead that would be great.

Reminds me a while back (I think about the time there was the whole QoL talk) they promised to make everything sellable for at least 1 gold...

I would also like to add that I would love it if they gave the ability to turn in the stuff we don't want for crown gems. Doesn't even have to be a lot.

I have like 10+ stacks of the tri-restoration potions, because I simply don't do the content that uses them. I hate the idea of just destroying them, because they *might* come in handy at some point, and Iknow that being able to sell them or even just give them away is not going to happen.

Giving the ability to turn them in for one gem would at least still give me *something* on those days that have rewards I am not likely to ever use.

This would be the biggest quality of life thing with the daily login rewards. If we could utilize these to get gems or even exchange them for endeavors AND earn more seals of endeavor to where we could earn a radiant apex via playing enough in a given crown crate season, that would be GOATed.

So recently i got already 45 instant research scrolls or others which i dont need...

the log in reward system need to change for something better and have remake as it is really bad most of the time i have "DESTROY" the item like crown chicken or potions unless its 3 stat potion...

please zenimax remake it for better... or make each day give you choice of reward out of two...

like can you squize some items that are not bound to account and can be sold...

like Motif pages, more skins or pets/mounts, More Gold/AP/Telvar, more Gold Materials, something different something not repeating every month... XP scrolls are always good but every single month the same...

Yep I destroy most of the stuff. OR at least don't make me literally type DESTROY.

Please give emotes/instruments to play/mats like u used to!/maybe scraps toward things (mounts/pets/costumes/emotes/furnishings) only gotten via login!

OK get rid of it full stop then. Thanks!

(and if you think literally ANYONE is playing this for the login rewards....? That's just.....)

I mean you will get more -as you can see- and same exact pots are craftable anyway. Hoarding isn't necessary, you don't need to do that. If you WANT TO ok - that's a whole other situation. <3

Lets just add a reject button to each daily login. Instant delete instead of instant accept.

Can you imagine ESO's first years were completely without daily login rewards. A whole cluster of problems less to fuss about. Those were the good old times....

I would love that or PASS. Ooh or disable in preferences.

I know it's just pixels but I hate the idea of destroying stuff; I'd rather a "decline" option so that I can move on to the next day without taking the previous.

    This is how I am.

For me it is a 'this might be useful/someone else might find this useful' even i I know that I will never use it, or I will never be able to sell it.

I also know that this is a 'me' problem, but still it would be nice to have the daily login updated just a tiny bit.

Maybe they could introduce a flag for if you want daily rewards or if you don't want them like if you want speech bubbles.

This complaint keeps coming up and I always say I remember when you had no log in rewards and no levelling up rewards and I had to save up gold to buy my first horse.

I logged into my North American PC account the other day and I got extra log in rewards for doing everyday tasks. Its a log in reward for coming back to the game. It it was a great quick tutorial that reminded me of all the things I could do.
